Disney Plus dropped a teaser trailer featuring snippets of some of its streaming releases coming in 2023, including Loki, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and a couple of new and not-so-new faces from the likes of Pixar.

After a less than stellar 2022 that saw many of Disney's animated films underperform and its MCU slate not living up to fans’ expectations, the company is looking forward to course-correct with some of Disney Plus' heavy hitters returning next year, including Loki. That includes new series from Pixar, exclusive movies heading straight to Disney Plus, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever landing on the platform.

Nevertheless, what will have many fans on Twitter most excited is finally getting to see the first proper look at those leaks from Loki season 2, including a scene where Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are rocking some pretty fancy tuxedos. Din Djarin and Baby Yoda are also back, with The Mandalorian's return scheduled for March 1. However, Ahsoka might edge The Mandalorian or The Bad Batch in terms of anticipation from Star Wars fans, but Skeleton Crew is still nowhere to be seen.

One Disney project that will surely catch many eyes is Peter Pan & Wendy, who get a ton of screen time here, comparatively speaking, since it will have Green Knight director David Lowery adapting the beloved classic. A second season of the Up spinoff Dug Days: Carl's Date and Win or Lose will make up Pixar's streaming offerings. Furthermore, Crater tackles the sci-fi genre, and an adaptation of the American Born Chinese comics rounds off everything in the 30-second teaser.

The Mandalorian and Loki are about as close to guaranteed hits as Disney Plus has in store, with the two being the most-watched shows on the platform since it launched, so surely most speculation will fall onto the rest. Peter Pan & Wendy could be subject to scrutiny, considering Disney's last attempt at reviving Pinocchio this year fared so terribly with critics and audiences, especially if put up next to Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio on Netflix.

One thing to keep in mind is that the two Pixar productions showcased here are series instead of movies, perhaps suggesting Bob Iger's return as Disney CEO is already playing its part, as the animation studio saw all of its films, save for Lightyear, head directly to Disney Plus under Bob Chapek.

Loki season 2 is expected to premiere on Disney Plus in mid-2023.
