Summary
- The recent 2.0.13 patch for Lords of the Fallen focused on stability, fixing crashes in co-op play and resolving key item acquisition issues.
- CI Games is committed to improving the gameplay experience through regular updates, with more patches planned for the future.
CI Games has released a new patch for Lords of the Fallen that looks to improve the gameplay experience for co-op players. Lords of the Fallen may be over a year old, but the developer continues to update the game, fixing troublesome bugs as they appear.
While the game has received lots of post-launch patches, one of the biggest was its Version 2.0 update. Released on April 17, Lords of the Fallen Version 2.0 added important features for players to check out. One highlight was shared progression co-op, enhancing the game’s existing multiplayer experience. In addition, the developer introduced things like a dedicated jump button, improved combat, a free Friend’s Pass, and much more. Following up on the massive update from April, CI Games has looked to continue improving the gameplay experience in Version 2.0 with more patches.
How To Use Friends Pass in Lords of the Fallen Version 2.0
Lords of the Fallen has introduced a new multiplayer mode alongside the Friends Pass. Here is how players can use it in Version 2.0.
The most recent of these updates came on May 9 and brought the game up to Version 2.0.13. While not the largest update the developer has released, the patch notes revealed several fixes that should make gameplay smoother for players. According to CI Games, improvements have been made to co-op play thanks to feedback. Among the changes, session stability has been improved, as a crashing issue was resolved. In addition, a problem with Lords of the Fallen's Crucible that caused crashes and corrupted saves was fixed.
Beyond crashing problems, the Version 2.0.13 update for Lords of the Fallen addressed a key item acquisition issue. Thanks to the latest patch, players should not have difficulties adding the Empyrean Key to the host’s inventory. In addition, an NPC interaction bug has been corrected. Now, Mohlu and other NPCs should display the "Offer Remembrances" button when appropriate.
It is nice to see CI Games continue to support Lords of the Fallen. The developer has highlighted the importance of player feedback as it continues to work on the game. Besides the Version 2.0.13 update, there is more planned for the game, as additional patches are described as "coming soon."
Time will tell what else the developer has in store for Lords of the Fallen as it moves closer to its two-year anniversary in October. The game has continued to draw in players, with many of them glad to see new updates, like Version 2.0, over a year after the official launch. While a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is already in development, hopefully, CI Games will be able to continue to patch the 2023 game as needed to satisfy fans.
