As an MMORPG, Lost Ark has an absurd amount of quests for players to complete. Whether it's story quests, Adventure Quests, Co-Op Quests, Island Token Completion Quests, or all the other content such as Guardian Raids and Chaos Dungeons, the sheer amount can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Now, a lot of this content would fall under the "Side Quests" description. That said, these are Quests off the beaten path that Lost Ark players should absolutely keep track of while they work through the game's vast amount of enjoyable endgame content.
5 Side Quests That Give Skill Points
First up are likely the most important branch of Side Quests in Lost Ark, the Side Quests that reward the player with Skill Point Potions. After getting to level fifty, which doesn't take all too long, players stop receiving those oh-so-crucial Skill Points. From here on out, every Skill Point Potion matters as they all contribute to being able to get more Skills to the third Tripod or even the additional levels they can put into Skills at level fifty-five and higher.
Now, these Skill Point Potions can be found as rewards for a variety of collectibles such as Giant Hearts and Island Tokens, but these Side Quests are a lot faster and the majority of them can be done right at, or not long after, reaching level fifty.
Just to give any player reading this a chance to keep track of which ones they've done, here are all the known Side Quests that give Skill Point Potions as a reward:

4 Side Quests That Give Engraving Books
After running their first Abyssal Dungeon, players might start noticing that their Accessories, such as rings, earrings, and necklaces, can have innate Class Engravings rather than just the standard Combat Engravings. For those unaware, these Engravings, along with a few other Combat-related tips and tricks, are what make the more difficult endgame content more possible.
This is the point where players can start getting their Class Engravings to level two and three activation with just the Uncommon level. But, if they really want to go all out on their build, they'll need Rare Engraving Books so that they can either max out an Engraving Activation or get a few different Engravings to Activation tier one or two.
There are a variety of Side Quests that actually grant a fair amount of Rare-tier Engraving Books as well, so even if a player just bought everything they needed from the Market, they could still use the Side Quests below to get the more popular Engraving Books, sell them, and make some of their money back.
For reference, here are a few notable Quests that reward these, but there are a ton more outside of these examples:

3 Side Quests That Give Tons of Honing Materials
Honing a piece of equipment from +1 to +5 is nothing, even getting it to +10 is pretty easy as long as a player keeps up with Chaos Dungeons, the Tower, or Una's Tasks. But, the sheer amount of Honing Materials most players tend to use trying to go from +11 to +15 (in order to reach Item Level 600) is astronomical. Honing starts to have a success rate at a certain point, and that success percentage starts getting pretty around halfway through Tier-2.
Even with Chaos Dungeons, Perception Shards from Chaos Dungeons, Abyssal Dungeons, Sylmael Bloodstones, Pirate Coin Trader Ships, Guardian Raids, The Shadespire, The Fatespire, and even the Cube, players can easily find themselves completely out of Honing Materials with nothing but failed Honing attempts to show for it.
Thankfully, there are a ton of Side Quests and Island Quests that give Honing Materials for all three tiers. The Island Quests are pretty easily found, more often than not, and reward a large majority of the game's Pirate Coins, but there are a wide variety of Side Quests in Rohendal, Yorn, Feitan, and Punika. There's a bit too many to list out, in fact, and players will honestly find more success stumbling upon these Side Quests if they just keep an eye out for the yellow Side Quest exclamation point on the map while they do the Story Quests.
2 Side Quests That Give Gold
While Gold doesn't seem incredibly important in the grind from level one to fifty, this resource absolutely becomes more prevalent once players start using the Market or the Honing starts using Gold to trigger it rather than just Silver or Harmony Shards.
And, while there are plenty of ways to make Gold in Lost Ark, there's a lot of this stuff just sitting around as Side Quest rewards. Of course, like Engraving Books and Honing Materials, this isn't the only way to get lots of Gold, there are actually tons of different methods. From Crafting items in the Stronghold and selling them on the Market to Farming Rapport with specific NPCs, savvy players will be rolling in Gold before they know it. But if they happen to stumble upon any Side Quest that has Gold as part of the reward, absolutely take it.
1 Side Quests That Give Songs
Finally, let's talk about the Sheet Music and/or Song mechanic of Lost Ark and how it relates to the lore in the world of Arkesia. Who would have thought that music would play such a prevalent part in this MMORPG? Frankly, with how much the open-world sailing reminds people of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, it's pretty funny that the game also revolves around collecting new magical tunes, similar to Ocarina of Time.
Now, a good chunk of these Songs are unavoidable rewards from one hundred plus Main Story Quests, but more than half of them are actually found as a part of an Island or Side Quest. Though, unlock some of the other Side Quests on here, the ones involving new Song Rewards are usually Chain Quests and are pretty time-consuming, just keep that in mind. In any case, to make things easy, here are the Side Quest-specific Song rewards:
|
