AMC's Lost TV series has continuously been cited among its dedicated fandom as one of the best shows to ever air on the small screen. Throughout its six seasons, which ran from 2004 to 2010, the hit series won a host of awards due to its mind-bending narrative and weird plot twists, which saw it become the first sci-fi series ever to win an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. And now, 15 years after its finale aired, the mysterious TV show is seeing the light of day again, but in the most unexpected way.
Starring Matthew Fox as Dr. Jack Shephard, Evangeline Lilly as the fugitive Kate Austen, Naveen Andrews as Sayid Jarrah, a former Iraqi soldier, Josh Holloway as the anti-hero James ‘Sawyer’ Ford, Jorge Garcia, who brought some comic relief as Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes, plus many more, Lost tells the story of a group of survivors whose plane crashes into a (seemingly) deserted island where they have to work together to find a way back home. However, the island the distraught group find themselves stranded on isn't any ordinary tropical island as it holds dark, mysterious and dangerous secrets, leaving them all with more questions than answers, especially when they find out that they aren't actually alone after all.
10 Best Friendships In Lost, Ranked
Lost is most famous for its mind-boggling mysteries, but behind all that were some great characters who formed unlikely and meaningful friendships.
Lost Makes Its Way Back to the Sci-Fi World in Comic Book Form
As reported by ScreenRant, superfan and artist Jon Plante has dedicated a comic book to the iconic TV show Lost by showcasing a slew of the series' most memorable moments. Posting on their Instagram page, Plante shared their love of the iconic series and their very obvious talent for art by blending classic comic-book elements that fans of the show will remember well, like season 3's 'Through the Looking Glass' episode, in which fans witnessed Hurley’s rescue attempt, as well as the battle between Jack and the Man in Black who appeared as a cloud of black smoke until he revealed himself at the end of show’s twisty finale.
Plante's entire Instagram page hosts dozens of brilliant Lost comic book covers that fans can delve into for hours and relive the special moments that made the series such a binge-worthy endeavor. In the comments section, Lost fans have been losing their minds over Plante's artistic ability to recreate the series in such a special way, with one fan stating, "Dude! I’m so excited when I see new Lost art! These are so great!", as another excited Lost lover said, "I'm so annoyed that you don't ship to Canada." Although the Lost comics only include the covers and don't contain more pages like a normal comic book, it seems as though fans can pick up two different packs that include all of the covers. For those interested, each pack contains 8 parody comic book cover art prints for $45, although Plante states that these will be available soon, so they aren't ready just yet.
In a time when reboots are a pretty popular occurrence, it seems as though there aren't any current plans to revisit the Lost universe. Lost's writer and producer, Drew Goddard, has previously expressed an interest in revisiting the show but has stated that he would only consider a return if they could create something new and special, rather than just a rehash of the original.
