Being a vision that was first conceived in 2014 by solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has essentially been a decade in the making. After grabbing Sony's attention two years later, the project eventually became a PlayStation-published title and continued development at Ultizero Games, which was founded by Bing in 2017. In the past few years, the studio has gradually stepped up Lost Soul Aside's marketing with new trailers, leading to positive buzz among fans. Originally scheduled for an April 2025 launch, the action-heavy game was delayed at the last minute and pushed to August.

In other words, it means that a playable build of the game is ready for public release.
