Lost Soul Aside, the upcoming action RPG published by PlayStation Studios, will be released for PC and PlayStation 5 on May 30, 2025. The announcement came during the February 2025 State of Play, during which fans got a new look at Lost Soul Aside with a stylish new trailer.

First revealed in a lengthy 2016 trailer and later incorporated as part of Sony's China Hero Project, Lost Soul Aside began as a daring solo project for developer Yang Bing. Seemingly inspired by heavy hitters like Final Fantasy 16 and the Devil May Cry series, the bits and pieces shown of the title so far have highlighted fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay, with fans eagerly awaiting the visually stunning project's release. Those who pre-order Lost Soul Aside will receive several bonuses, including main character Kaser's original outfit as seen in the game's 2016 announcement trailer, a starter pack of in-game currency, and a healing potion bundle. Players opting to pre-order the Digital Deluxe edition will get everything included in the Standard edition, along with Arena's exclusive golden outfit, three unique weapon fragment skins, two useful in-game accessories, an artbook, and a digital soundtrack. Pre-orders will kick off on February 19 on both the PlayStation Store and PC storefronts, with Lost Soul Aside popping up on PlayStation at 10 AM EST and on PC at 11 AM EST.

In January, it was announced that the PC version of Lost Soul Aside had seemingly removed the controversial PSN account linking requirement implemented by so many other titles. If true, this means that Sony will be able to sell the game in countries not supported by the PlayStation Network, boosting its reach and sales potential and likely proving to be a hit with those against the practice.
