A surprise reveal at the September 12 Nintendo Direct event, Lynked: Banner of the Spark is out now on the Nintendo eShop, available for both the Switch and Switch 2. Developed by FuzzyBot, Lynked: Banner of the Spark was first released on Steam in early access on October 22, 2024, followed by a 1.0 launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 on May 22, 2025. At its core, Lynked: Banner of the Spark combines hack-and-slash roguelite gameplay with slower, Stardew Valley-like life sim progression that creates a delightful mish-mash of genres. The game takes place in the year 30XX, in a world ravaged by hostile robots, where players are tasked with creating their own slice of heaven among the carnage. Players alternate between hectic, roguelite combat sections where weapons, abilities, and allied unit combos make it an action-packed frenzy and cozy, slower-paced sections where they collect resources, expand and customize the town, and build relationships with friendly NPCs.

As Super Mario hits his 40th anniversary, a look at which games in the series aren't on Nintendo's Switch 2 can reveal quite a lot.

Lynked: Banner of the Spark Released on Switch and Switch 2

FuzzyBot dropped a new animated trailer at the September 12 Nintendo Direct, announcing Lynked: Banner of the Spark’s arrival on the Switch and the Switch 2, which is available right now for $24.99 on the Nintendo eShop. Players who purchase the game on these consoles will get access to all previously released content as well as a free, brand-new outfit for their character. Notably, those who get the game on Nintendo’s latest console will also get access to Switch 2’s Mouse Mode thanks to the Joy-Con 2.

Additionally, Lynked will also benefit from GameShare on the Switch 2, which allows players to invite a friend who does not own the game to play alongside them for free. Invites can only be extended from someone with the Switch 2 version, but players who want to join can accept from either console. However, those who receive an invite will only be able to play during active host sessions. Lynked supports 3-player online co-op, though it’s possible to tackle the entire game solo as well.

Fans of cozy life sims like Stardew Valley may find Lynked: Banner of the Spark scratches the same itch, though it comes with some additional bells and whistles. Those not interested in combat need not be scared away either, as the game also offers a “Cozy Mode,” promising a more relaxed, laid-back version where action takes the backseat. In this mode, players can then focus entirely on fishing, gathering, collecting, and decorating instead.

With its successful launch on multiple platforms and new life on the Switch family, Lynked: Banner of the Spark is already on the right trajectory. By combining action, roguelite progression, and life sim coziness with co-op fun, FuzzyBot delivered a title that feels both familiar and entirely new. For players searching for their next obsession, this surprise Switch release might just be it.
