Summary
- Madden NFL 24 predicts that the Kansas City Chiefs will win Super Bowl 58 over the San Francisco 49ers in a close game.

- The game recently released Title Update 7, introducing a Live Beta version of Franchise Crossplay Mode and making bug fixes and improvements.
With Super Bowl 58 right around the corner, Madden NFL 24 predicted that the annual NFL title game would be won by the Kansas City Chiefs in a close game over the San Francisco 49ers. Though the Madden NFL series traditionally has a good track record of picking which team would win the coveted Lombardi Trophy, this year's prediction followed a rare incorrect call made in 2023.
The latest prediction made by EA Sports came just weeks after Madden NFL 24 released Title Update 7, which brought a Live Beta version of Franchise Crossplay Mode to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. Franchise Mode allows Madden NFL players to take control of the league's 32 teams and either rebuild them from the ground up or continue their dominance unabated. Players were encouraged to start a new Franchise Mode play file to ensure the Live Beta went on without any issues. In addition to the Franchise Crossplay Live Beta, Madden NFL 24's Ultimate Team mode entered its fourth season, and several bug fixes and stability improvements were made across all platforms.
Madden NFL 24 Predicts the Lombardi Trophy Will Remain in Kansas City
Though all Super Bowl 58 predictions are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt, EA Sports kept up with its annual tradition. On social media, Madden NFL 24 predicted that Super Bowl 58 would be won by the current NFL champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. The simulation stated that the Chiefs would retain the Lombardi Trophy, and defeat the San Francisco 49ers in a close game, with a predicted final score of 30-28. Ahead of 2023's Super Bowl 57, Madden NFL 23 predicted that the Philadelphia Eagles would defeat the Chiefs, 31-17. Despite Madden NFL having a decent track record for predicting Super Bowl outcomes, 2023's call proved to be incorrect, as the Chiefs took down the Eagles in a back-and-forth battle, 38-35.
In the aftermath of Super Bowl 57, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed that one of the offensive plays used by the Chiefs was inspired by the Pokemon series, and it was intended to deceive the Eagles' defenders in short-yardage situations. While the play was a bust, it served to throw a wrench into the Eagles' defensive schemes in the long run. Super Bowl 58, however, will be a rematch of 2020's Super Bowl 54, which Kansas City won 31-20.
Super Bowl 58 will start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30 PM Eastern. Between the prediction and the imminent arrival of Madden NFL 24 on Xbox Game Pass on February 8, football fans will have plenty to sink their teeth into as the 2023 NFL season ends.
