EA Sports has revealed its list of the best wide receivers and safeties in the upcoming Madden NFL 25. Madden NFL 25 is this year's edition of the long-running American football franchise coming out on August 16, in time for the opening of the league's season.

As is the norm now for sports games, developer EA is revealing the stats of the league's top players in Madden NFL 25. It had begun the hype for the new game by showing off gameplay improvements, including the changes to Franchise mode in Madden NFL 25, which boasts a redesigned rookie draft experience for would-be general managers. Madden fans can expect more teasers to pop up over the next few weeks leading up to the game's release.

This year, Super Bowl winner and multi-time Pro Bowl invitee Tyreek Hill is the top wide receiver as the first Madden NFL 25 player to be revealed with a 99 OVR. He also makes history as the first ever Miami Dolphin to get a 99. Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, who was the 99 OVR wide receiver in Madden NFL 24, gets a slight demotion to 98 OVR. Hill's astronomical rating is likely due to his heroics in the 2023 season, which included setting a new record by achieving 1,000 receiving yards by the eighth game of the season and reaching 10,000 career receiving yards by Week 17. Jefferson suffered an injury last season that only limited him to 10 games, which explains the demerit.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons' Jessie Bates III, a former Super Bowl contender, emerges as the top safety with a 97 OVR. This is a huge jump from his 91 OVR in Madden NFL 24, likely due to his move to the Falcons from the Cincinnati Bengals, which revitalized his career. Bates earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice in 2023, and is poised to have just as big a year with the Falcons in the 2024 season.

NFL fans may be in for a treat this year as the game will be coming to the table with a brand new system.
