The official game intro for Madoka Magica Magia Exedra is out now, and reveals a number of characters returning from media all across the Madoka franchise. The intro features the song "Lighthouse" by FictionJunction, featuring LINO LEIA. The intro starts with the nameless protagonist, as well as the mysterious green-colored Kyubey and Yodaka, a game shopkeeper, before showing off the cast. The main magical girls of the original anime TV series and films appear, followed by a number of the cast from Magia Record, and even some from the various spin-off manga, like Oriko and Tart (Joan of Arc). The remainder of the intro breaks into an action sequence of all the gathered magical girls fighting Walpurgisnacht.

It's a Good Time to Be a Madoka Magica Fan

The new Magia Exedra game is launching in a matter of days, but that's not all that's in the works for Madoka Magica in 2025. The long-awaited Walpurgisnacht Rising movie is slated to launch later this year, which will finally provide the follow-up story to Madoka Magica Rebellion. Much of the plot of the new film has been kept mysterious. The Madoka Magica fan community is eager to see the movie, though some remain concerned regarding the possibility of the it being delayed again, as the release hasn't been narrowed down past winter 2025. However, the film recently revealed a new promotional image, and no further delays were announced, so hopefully the movie is still on-track to reach theaters in 2025.

Unfortunately, the one crowd who may be feeling somewhat left out are PC gamers. While Magia Exedra is still planning a PC release, the PC version will not launch simultaneously with the mobile version. At this time, no official release date has been offered for the PC launch, but fans can wishlist it on Steam and be notified when that changes.
