Chapter 3 of Mafia: The Old Country begins with Enzo reading a letter from Isabella, at the end of which, she asks him to meet her in the garden if he wants to talk again. Given Luca's warning during the closing stages of the previous chapter, though, it's only natural that players will think twice before taking the Don's daughter up on her invitation.
The Toughest Video Game Choices
Though a lot of choices end up being fairly inconsequential, the most difficult decisions in video games can weigh heavily on a player's conscience.
This guide will examine the potential consequences of the choice to make it easier for players to decide whether they should meet Isabella in the garden or not. The first section will aim to be as spoiler-free as possible, with the rest of the guide explaining exactly what happens if players go to the garden in Mafia: The Old Country.
Should You Meet Isabella in the Garden in Mafia: The Old Country?
In short, yes. Players should go and meet Isabella in the garden before they find Luca at the stables. Although the choice has absolutely no impact on the main story, players will unlock the Garden Rendezvous Trophy / Achievement if they go, while also getting a unique interaction with Isabella. Going to the garden at this point also gives players an opportunity to pick up the Astuzia charm, which increases the area of effect for all thrown items.
What Happens if You Meet Isabella in the Garden? (Mild Spoilers)
If players go to the garden, Enzo and Isabella will talk briefly about the events in Collezolfo. There's some mild flirting too, although this is cut short when Tino shows up and warns Enzo about sniffing around the Don's daughter (and Isabella about not wearing shoes, for some reason). As mentioned above, though, there are no lasting consequences here, as Tino will act coldly towards Enzo regardless of how players choose to behave around him.
Are There Any Meaningful Choices in Mafia: The Old Country?
To put it simply, no. None of the choices in Mafia: The Old Country have any real impact on the story. In fact, the only other choices that players really have to make are whether or not to kill people when they're told to. There's always somebody else on hand to pull the trigger if they don't, although opting not to do so in Chapter 13 of Mafia: The Old Country will unlock the Man of Honor Trophy / Achievement.
