Plenty of video game developers have played around with voice control mechanics over the years, although few have done so quite as successfully as the team behind Mage Arena. In this game, players use their voices to cast incantations, with ten unique spells available as of the time of writing.

Sometimes it takes more than swords and bullets to slay monsters!

Unfortunately, not all of the Mage Arena spells are accessible right away, with players needing to find Torn Pages scattered around the arena to unlock the most powerful ones. This guide contains a full Mage Arena spell list, as well as a surefire method for farming all of the unlockable spells.

All Default Mage Arena Spells

Fireball

A projectile attack that explodes upon impact, inflicting burn damage to anyone within range.

Freeze

A projectile attack that freezes targets for a short period of time while also dealing damage.

Wormhole

A two-stage spell that allows players to travel freely between two points on the map. Cannot be used in bases.

Magic Missile

Players can cycle through the default Mage Arena spells by using the number keys while they're holding the spellbook.

How to Unlock New Mage Arena Spells

mage-arena-torn-page

Six secret Mage Arena spells can be unlocked by finding Torn Pages scattered around the map. These can spawn just about anywhere, so it pays to be thorough while exploring. However, for those who just can't wait to get their hands on these powerful Mage Arena spells, there's a way to farm Torn Pages pretty easily. To do so, players should make their way over to the Gnome Forest, which can be found in the blue hexagon with green tree-like speckles (hold Q to bring up the map if you're having trouble finding it).

Once players are in the Gnome Forest, they should approach a Gnome while holding an item and then press E to trade. Gnomes won't always offer a Torn Page, but players can just keep on trading with them indefinitely until they do. It's worth noting that there will be a short cooldown period after each trade, but as there are usually four Gnomes walking around the village, players shouldn't have to wait too long to get the spells that they want.

Thunderbolt

An AoE attack that summons thunder from the sky, inflicting burn damage to anyone within range. Cannot be used indoors.

Wisp
