On the whole, Manor Lords runs very well on most PCs and only struggles when players build exceptionally large towns. As such, most can probably handle a slight loss in FPS in return for incredibly more detailed textures provided by the Texture Upscale Project.

Getting constant notifications about buildings being at max capacity and having production ground to a halt as a result of it can be quite annoying in Manor Lords. Thankfully, there is a mod to solve this problem, as Storage Plus Plus increases the storage of all buildings. This includes Backyard Extensions such as Bakeries, which are particularly prone to becoming full.
While such a mod could be seen as cheating, as managing stock levels is part and parcel of the game, Manor Lords at the end of the day is a single-player experience, and players should not feel bad for simply wanting to enjoy it in their own way.
3 Increased Garrison Limit

While Manor Lords is not supposed to be about large-scale warfare like the Total War games, that doesn't stop players from enjoying the immersive battles and wishing for more. Currently, players can only build one Garrison Tower, meaning they can only have a maximum of 24 men-at-arms in their retinue.
The Increased Garrison Limit mod, however, allows players to build four Garrison Towers, meaning their ranks can increase to a maximum of 60. With the town's militia and hired mercenaries in tow, players will soon have quite the army. On top of arguably being more fun for those who enjoy this aspect of the game, having more men will also help players conquer more land in Manor Lords.
4 Play As A Knight In Visit Mode

Several mods replace the lord used in third-person visit mode, including ones that enable players to walk around their village as Shrek, Geralt of Rivia, or Henry of Skalitz from Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
