Why Manage Production Rate

There are several reasons why players would want to manage the production rate of their goods. Early on in the game, players have limited tools and Development Points at their disposal to upgrade their settlement.

An important Development Point upgrade is a Deep Mining upgrade that enables unlimited mining of iron ore and clay. Using regular mining can deplete iron ores and clay, which can prevent smelting of ore to iron slabs for advanced goods.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to maintain a surplus of raw products like timber and firewood to ensure steady production of finished goods.

Since production of goods requires large amounts of raw products, players should also consider balancing out raw materials gathering for goods production. This is where production rate management becomes crucial. It may be necessary to halt production of goods until raw resources are gathered.

How To Pause Production

Players looking to pause production in Manor Lords can follow the below-mentioned steps:

Hover over the structure producing goods like sawpits, blacksmiths, breweries, etc.
Click the structure to pull up the context menu.
Within the context menu, look for the blue bar at the top of the UI.
Players should see a collection of icons, each serving a unique purpose, like moving the structure, demolishing the structure, or pausing production.
The production pause icon appears as two perpendicular lines, clicking which, pauses all production until manually resumed.

While it’s a viable strategy to sell excess goods to generate regional wealth, it’s also important to understand that overselling a specific resource or finished good lowers its value.

Additionally, players might want to utilize a specific resource to address multiple production challenges, such as prioritizing plate armor over shields. This is where players may want to pause production of shields to concentrate iron ore and iron slabs to meet plate armor production.
