Clothing is a basic necessity of the people who live under your rule, and in order to keep them happy, you must begin crafting this item early in the game. It is also one of the most essential requirements for upgrading your Burgage Plot level in Manor Lords.
Getting the clothing stall for level one Burgage Plots is simple, but obtaining clothes as you develop your village becomes much more complex. You can make a variety of clothing alternatives, including linen, leather, and yarn, as well as shoes, clothes, and cloaks.
Manor Lords: How To Survive The First Year
Surviving the first year in Manor Lords can be challenging, but with the right tools and knowledge, you can build a thriving settlement.
How to Make Linen, Leather, Yarn (Burgage Plot Level 1)
To upgrade your Burgage Plot from Level 1 to 2, you don’t necessarily have to create clothes; all you have to do is produce either Linen, Leather, or Yarn and have a clothing stall sell it in the marketplace. This will fulfill the clothing stall supply requirement for level 1 Burgage plot residents.
How to Get Linen
Linen is the hardest to get among the three and requires the longest production time. To produce linen, you must first harvest flax in your field using the farmhouse. Once you have harvested Flax, you must build the Weaver’s Workshop, where the Weaver will turn the Flax into Linen.
How to Get Leather
Leather is the easiest; you can get it early in the game. First, you must build the Hunting Camp, which will provide you with the Food and the Hide required to produce leather. Once you have collected the Hide, build a Tannery near the Hunting Camp and assign a family to it to produce Leather from the Hides.
How to Get Yarn
Producing Yarn requires you to import some Sheep from the Livestock Trading Post first. Once you have imported some Sheep, build a Sheep Farm for them, where the assigned workers will graze the sheep and produce Wool from them. Once the Wool has been produced, the Weaver will use the Wool to produce Yarn.
How to Make Shoes, Clothes, Cloaks (Burgage Plot Level 2)
Upgrading your Burgage Plots from Level 2 to 3 requires more than a supply of Linen, Leather, or Yarn. You must produce actual clothing materials like Shoes, Clothes, or Cloaks that will satisfy the resident's Clothing Stall level 2 demand.
How to Get Shoes
Shoes can be made out of leather from the Cobbler’s Shop. As you might have already unlocked leather production from Hide using the tannery, you must unlock the Cobbler’s Shop plot extension, which is available for Level 2 Burgage Plots. You can unlock the Cobbler’s Shop by spending 5 Regional Wealth and 5 Planks to create it.
Ensure you have one family each assigned to the Hunting Camp for Hide, Tannery for Leather, and Cobbler’s Shop for Shoes.
How to Get Clothes and Cloaks
Shoes, Clothes, and Cloaks are also available via another backyard extension, unlocked with Level 2 Burgage Plots, the Tailor’s Shop. Establishing a Tailor’s Shop in the backyard will cost you 5 Regional Wealth and requires 5 Planks to be built.
Once you have the Tailor’s Shop ready, the family living in that house will turn into Artisan and start working to create Clothes and Cloaks. However, you must ensure a constant supply of yarn and linen, which are needed for clothes and cloaks.
You will also have to establish the Dyer’s Workshop, which will provide you with Dyes, an ingredient needed to produce Clothes. Dyes are derived from Berries, so it is advised that the Dyer’s Workshop be placed near the Forager’s Hut for optimal production.
