Donkey Kong Bananza cast spoilers follow.

Mario Kart World players think they've found evidence of two new racers who could be joining the game: Void Kong and King K. Rool. While not confirmed by official channels, the fandom has pointed to evidence in Mario Kart World's credits that could mean more racers will join the game in the future.

The latest Mario Kart has already launched with a substantial roster of characters to play as, with 50 total racers in Mario Kart World. Even so, there are some classic Nintendo faces that players wish had made the cut, including those from outside direct Mario properties. Nintendo has been quiet about DLC for the newest Mario Kart game, so fans are excited to see a potential lead within the title itself.

On Reddit, user prpro-03 has shared their discovery that the voice actors who most recently portrayed King K. Rool and Void Kong are also listed in the credits for Mario Kart World. Yuu Hayashi, who portrayed Void Kong, and Tsuguo Mogami, who performed as King K. Rool in Donkey Kong Bananza, are both included in the list of voice actors in Mario Kart World, as well. With the credits already giving nods to the two actors, players have begun to suspect that these two characters may be added to Mario Kart World somewhere down the line, either as a free update or through paid DLC.

Mario Kart World DLC Characters Theory Examined

While it's entirely possible that these two characters will be made playable in Mario Kart World in the future, there are some factors to take into consideration. Unlike in Donkey Kong Bananza, where they were credited with their roles, no characters are attached to individual actors in the Mario Kart World credits. So while the two actors are involved, that doesn't necessarily mean that they lent their talents to the same two characters in Mario Kart World. It's possible that they were instead cast as background characters, or essentially additional crowd voices.

Both Yuu Hayashi and Tsuguo Mogami have other video game credits to their name, but according to Hayashi's list of credits, he had never appeared in a Nintendo game prior to Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza. Mogami, on the other hand, does have a history with the company, previously portraying characters like Spewart in Super Mario Odyssey, Pigma Dengar in multiple Star Fox games, and most notably, Demise in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

At the moment, there's no confirmation from Nintendo on adding more racers to Mario Kart World. However, given the success of the game so far and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's inclusion of non-Mario characters, it seems likely that more familiar Nintendo faces will join the roster eventually.
