In the first major hub area of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Beacon Beach, players will need to enter an ancient place called the Sunrise Temple. Inside the temple, players can meet an NPC named Professor Backpack, and he wants the group to solve an ancient riddle that's been stumping him. In the room near him, there are four statues that can be rotated, and in order to solve the puzzle to claim a Planet Coin, players will need to put them in the correct position.

Professor Backpack gives players a hint as to how the puzzle is solved, and it reads: "The King pins the star on his favored son. The outcast runs away, toward a new dawn." For the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope players out there that would like the solution to the Sunrise Temple riddle can use this guide for help.

How to Solve the Riddle of the Sunrise Temple

By going up to the statues and pressing the A button, players can rotate the statues. To solve the riddle, follow these steps:

riddle sunrise temple mario rabbids sparks of hope
  • The sun statue should be facing the Outcast Rabbid with a beard and blue bindle on his back.
  • The Outcast Rabbid should also face the sun statue.
  • The King statue is the one giving a thumbs up, and he should be facing his son, which is the Rabbid directly across from the king.
  • Of course, the King's son should also be rotated to face the king.

Once all the statues are in the correct spot, the side quest will be completed, and players will get themselves a Beacon Beach Planet Coin, which can be used to purchase items from the robot merchant.

Players can also open a chest after completing the puzzle that contains a Star Potion. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope players can use Star Potions in the menu to upgrade any of their obtained Sparks. Upgrading a Spark will increase its level automatically without needing to use Star Bits.

It'll increase the usefulness of the Spark, sometimes increasing damage or other stats that relate to the effects of the Spark. While it may be tempting to use all the Star Potions as soon as players get them, try not to waste them.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available for the Nintendo Switch.
