Marvel Rivals: All New Team-Ups & Team-Up Changes in Season…

In Marvel Rivals, new changes are consistently being made to the gameplay, hero kits, and mechanics as part of the live-service format that the game follows. For this reason, each new Competitive Season tends to bring not only a new overall theme and set of cosmetics to collect, but significant new additions such as new maps and heroes, balance changes and hero reworks, and the introduction or development of new features.

One such unique feature that makes Marvel Rivals so enjoyable is the Team-ups mechanic. As of Season 2 - Hellfire Gala, Marvel Rivals has made the most significant amount of changes to this aspect of gameplay since its launch. These changes include the likes of brand new Team-ups to go hand-in-hand with Vanguard addition, Emma Frost, some Team-ups being discontinued, as well as reworks that involve certain heroes being removed or replaced with other Team-Up combos. All New Team-Ups & Team-Up Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2

In Marvel Rivals, the Team-up mechanic offers additional passive bonuses and new abilities to the kits of certain heroes when they are played on the same team as other characters within their Team-up. Essentially, by selecting characters who have this synergy, players can maximize bonus effects and give themselves additional buffs by utilizing these strategies and working together. However, as Season 2 has made such drastic changes to Team-ups across the board, they have been broken down into the individual sections below.

Metallic Chaos - Magneto & Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch can infuse Chaos Energy into Magneto to enchant his greatsword. Upon receiving the Chaos Energy, Magneto can unleash its full force, striking down enemies with his enchanted greatsword

Voltaic Union - Thor, Storm, & Captain America

Thor infuses Thorforce into Storm and Captain America, granting them an electrifying enhancement. With an electrifying enhancement, Storm can unleash a lightning barrage. With an electrifying enhancement, Captain America gains a Movement Boost, and his shield is imbued with thunder power, electrocuting nearby enemies

Allied Agents - Black Widow & Hawkeye

Hawkeye can share his Hunter's Sight with Black Widow, enabling her to catch sight of and damage afterimages of enemies

Atlas Bond - Iron Fist & Luna Snow

Iron Fist channels the Chi of Shou-Lao into Luna Snow, transforming her ice power into a Chi-infused frosty ring that radiates from her. This ring can knock back enemies with chilling damage and applies a slowing effect, while simultaneously healing her allies

ESU Alumnus - Squirrel Girl & Spider-Man

Spider-Man gives Squirrel Girl a web bomb. She can slingshot it to unleash an explosion upon contact with the environment or an enemy, briefly ensnaring and damaging enemies caught in the blast

Fantastic Four - The Thing, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, & Human Torch

Adam Warlock enhances the rebirth power of Star-Lord and Mantis, granting them the power of cocooned revival

Lunar Force - Cloak & Dagger & Moon Knight

Cloak & Dagger can inject light and dark energy into Moon Knight to create a Light & Dark Realm where Moon Knight can become Invisible

Planet X Pals - Groot, Jeff the Land Shark & Rocket Raccoon

Jeff the Land Shark and Rocket Raccoon can ride on Groot's shoulders, receiving Damage Reduction

Ragnarok Rebirth - Thor, Hela, & Loki

When Hela lands a final hit in defeating an enemy, she can instantly resurrect Loki and Thor in the respawn phase, or grant them Bonus Health if they are still alive

Storming Ignition - Human Torch & Storm

When the Human Torch activates Supernova, Storm can summon an Omega Fire by selecting a Flame Tornado with Omega Hurricane. Likewise, when Storm unleashes Omega Hurricane, the Human Torch can transform it into a Burning Hurricane with Supernova. Any Flame Tornado caught in a Burning Hurricane will grow in size and damage

Symbiote Bond - Venom, Peni Parker, & Spider-Man

Venom shares a part of his symbiote with Spider-Man and Peni Parker, activating their symbiote abilities. Spider-Man and Peni Parker can convert the symbiotes into explosive spikes that inflict harm on nearby enemies and relentlessly drive them back

All Team-Up Changes/Reworks in Marvel Rivals Season 2

The following Team-Up combos/abilities have been reworked or had the addition/removal of one or more characters in Season 2.

Gamma Charge - Hulk, Iron Man & Namor (Previously Hulk, Iron Man, & Doctor Strange)

Doctor Strange removed, Namor added
Hulk charges Iron Man and Namor with gamma radiation. When Iron Man uses Armor Overdrive, he will initiate a gamma upgrade. When Namor receives the radiation, he will summon an extra Gamma Monstro, which will continuously fire gamma rays at locked-on enemies. The longer the rays hit, the higher the damage

Chilling Charisma - Luna Snow & Jeff the Land Shark (Previously Luna Snow, Namor, & Jeff the Land Shark)

Namor removed
Luna Snow infuses ice energy into Namor and Jeff the Land Shark, who then can tap into the ice energy to power up their abilities at will

Dimensional Shortcut - Magik & Black Panther (Previously Magik, Psylocke, & Black Panther)

When Magik is on the field, Black Panther can tap into Limbo to rewind a few seconds back to a previous position; after passing through Limbo, Black Panther will gain Bonus Health based on missing health

Ammo Overload - Rocket Raccoon & The Punisher (Previously Rocket Raccoon, Winter Soldier, & The Punisher)

Rocket Raccoon throws an Ammo Overload device in the target direction. Upon entering the device's range, The Punisher receives the buffs of Infinite Ammo and Faster Firing
