New data has revealed exactly where all players stand in Marvel Rivals' Ranked mode, revealing that the overwhelming majority are at the very bottom, while an incredibly small percentage find themselves at the top. While these findings may not be all that surprising, it is interesting how large of a dive there is between each rank.
Much like its peers, Marvel Rivals is a live service game, with the game receiving a steady stream of fresh content over the last several months. Along with a battle pass, players can visit the in-game store to purchase cosmetics and other items, though Marvel Rivals' characters remain free for all. Aside from new items and rewards, players can try their hand at Marvel Rivals' Ranked mode, which resets with each season. This incentivizes players to grind the mode throughout the season, though new data has revealed an overwhelming number of the game's player base remains at the very bottom.

According to the rank distribution board on RivalsTracker, over 100,000 players are still at the bottom in Bronze 3. Marvel Rivals has a number of different ranks, ranging from the previously mentioned Bronze all the way up to Eternity and One Above All, the last two ranks. All but the last two ranks include three tiers, meaning players will have to do some serious grinding in order to climb the ladder. It appears, however, that most players don't want to dedicate the time to do so, or are simply stuck at the bottom due to their skill.
New Marvel Rivals Data Reveals Most Players Are In Bronze 3
In comparison, only 25,000 players find themselves in Bronze 2, a significant decline from the 100,000 in Bronze 3. Ranking up in Marvel Rivals is quite simple but can prove frustrating. When players win matches, they are given points. Earn enough of these points, and the player moves up a tier. However, losing a match takes these points away. Aside from a higher rank, players can also acquire special rewards for ranking up in Marvel Rivals. Last season, players who made it to Gold 3 got a special Moon Knight skin, which, in the current season, players who make it to Gold 3 will receive a special Blood Shield skin for the Invisible Woman.
Marvel Rivals features several modes for players to enjoy, with the majority of those in Bronze choosing Arcade and Quick Match over anything else. While the game launched with just a few modes, each new update has expanded the Marvel Rivals experience. Players can now also take part in Doom Match, Marvel Rivals' take on free-for-all, as well as Clone Rumble, which allows all players to play as the same character. Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is expected to wrap up on April 11, 2025.
