A Marvel Rivals player has shared a response from the NetEase Games team, confirming the developers are aware of a disconnection issue and are working on an imminent fix. As with any newly released game, considering Marvel Rivals launched on December 6, there will usually be a few bugs that creep into gameplay within the first few weeks, but the teams behind these titles are normally receptive to the community’s issues and provide hotfixes to rectify them.
The 6v6 PvP hero shooter debuted with a stacked roster of superheroes from Marvel Comics' pantheon, including Spider-Man, Punisher, Scarlet Witch, and Magneto, who were all available to play at launch. With gameplay being a grand success thus far, Marvel Rivals has set a new gold standard for live-service games, thanks to its immaculately presented narrative drip-fed in digestible quantities and its story-based continuity. Therefore, comic-book fans are confident the adrenaline-fueled fun will continue down the roadmap.
Posted on Reddit by uashx, a screenshot of a conversation was posted in the Marvel Rivals subreddit, highlighting an exchange with a developer regarding the disconnection bug. In response, community manager James Ng responded to the Redditor and confirmed the team was aware of the issue by locating what was causing the disconnection. Additionally, James confirmed the team was working on a solution that will be delivered through a hotfix. Marvel Rivals Twitch Drops was another issue the developers had to contest during the game’s closed beta in July, but it’s good to see the team address this bug efficiently.
Marvel Rivals Devs Address Disconnection Bug
The issue occurs when players are queuing for a game, but they never get past the loading screen. After trying to reconnect, players are then penalized as a leaver even though they never made it into the match. Gaming communities aren’t shy about voicing their opinions on features and mechanics that are hindering gameplay, including Marvel Rivals players who aren’t currently satisfied with the game’s battle pass.
Despite the current disconnection issue, a majority of players love the new shooter by stepping into the shoes of their favorite superheroes in battle, and the game has plenty in store for the fandom during its infancy in the wild. New leaks suggest Marvel Rivals will welcome The Thing from the Fantastic Four team soon, possibly being added as a Vanguard character, which is one example fans should be excited about in the game’s teased content.
