Summary
- Marvel Rivals fans dislike the Golden Diamond skin for Emma Frost because of its "hideous" color scheme.
- New gameplay content and updates are coming in Season 2.5 with Ultron as a playable Strategist.
Marvel Rivals fans expressed their dissatisfaction over the "Golden Diamond" skin's "hideous" color scheme for Emma Frost. With over 30 playable characters available, Marvel Rivals releases unique skins that are inspired by the superheroes' appearances in Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
For its second season, Marvel Rivals launched Emma Frost as the newest Vanguard. A mutant known for transforming her skin into an impervious diamond, she has the ability to shield herself and her allies from enemy attacks. Upon release, many Marvel Rivals fans pointed out that Emma Frost's design looked similar to Invisible Woman and Dagger because all three are blonde and wear a white and blue costume. But lately, fans don't seem to be happy about one of her free skins.
Marvel Rivals Leak Suggests Symbiote Costumes Are On the Way
Another new Marvel Rivals leak suggests that some characters might be getting alternate Symbiote-infected skins at some point in the future.
Marvel Rivals players can claim a free Emma Frost skin called Golden Diamond when they reach Gold III in their ranked games. A player called Select-Region-2428 called the Golden Diamond's color scheme "hideous," noting that the gold part of the costume looked more brown, so they tweaked it to make the colors pop out more. However, they still said that the Golden Diamond was a skin they wouldn't use and that they "wasted time climbing ranks" for it.
Marvel Rivals Fans Aren't Happy About Emma Frost's Golden Diamond Skin
In the comments, many Marvel Rivals fans agreed with the sentiment, saying that it's odd for Emma Frost to have "some of the worst skins in the game," mostly because she's known for her high-fashion looks. A number of fans also made funny comparisons, saying that Golden Diamond looked like Wario's costume and that it was a Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Another said it looked like a peanut butter and jelly color scheme.
Apart from Golden Diamond, Emma Frost has other eye-catching skins available in Marvel Rivals, such as the permanent Rare "Blue Sapphire" priced at 600 units, which is a dark blue variant of her default skin with shiny silver gems. Another variant is "Will of Galacta," a pink and purple suit with blue gems, which will be a Twitch Drop exclusive for Marvel Rivals Season 2.5. Probably her most popular skin is "X-Revolution," a permanent Epic Marvel Rivals skin inspired by Emma's look in Uncanny X-Men #1 (2013) priced at 1,400 units.
With Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 launching soon on May 30, 2025, fans are looking forward to new gameplay content. This includes Ultron becoming a playable Strategist, a new map, a season event when players can earn a free Hawkeye skin, and so much more.
