One of the big appeals of Marvel Rivals is the star-studded roster made up of some of the biggest heroes and villains in the Marvel franchise. With 33 characters available at launch, players can choose popular names like Spider-Man and Iron Man, to name a few. However, the roster also features some lesser-known options to mainstream audiences, such as Squirrel Girl and Jeff the Landshark. Recently, one artist decided to pay tribute to several Marvel Rivals heroes in a collection of new artwork.
Marvel Rivals’ Most Viral Character Holds the Key to Making a Controversial Overwatch 2 Concept Work
One of Marvel Rivals' biggest draws recently received their own in-game event, and Overwatch 2 could learn from its competition's approach.
Known as Painted Dragon Studios on Reddit, the talented artist has shared their paintings of Wolverine, Iron Man, Moon Knight, and the adorable Jeff the Landshark for others to see. Each of the paintings, made using oil paints, featured the characters in action poses and seamlessly replicated the art style of the team-based hero shooter. The paintings, which featured incredible coloring, had the characters wearing their default skins from Marvel Rivals and, in some cases, included neat background elements, such as Khonshu for Moon Knight.

These paintings have caught the attention of the Marvel Rivals community on Reddit, with many fans upvoting the paintings. For example, the artwork of Marvel Rivals' Moon Knight created by Painted Dragon Studios has already garnered over 3.8K upvotes on the game’s subreddit, earning many comments praising the artist’s work. In addition, the artist revealed that they could be followed on their other social media accounts at Painted Dragon Studios.
While these Marvel Rivals paintings are impressive, they are far from the only artwork that Painted Dragon Studios has shown off, as they have created various other paintings featuring popular video game and film franchises. For example, some of their other recent work found on their Reddit page includes incredible Lord of the Rings and Warhammer oil paintings. They previously even painted Solitude from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Each of these paintings had a similar amount of detail that likely took a long time to complete.
