Twitch viewers will have a chance to get a free skin for Star-Lord in Marvel Rivals in August. This is happening just as Marvel Rivals is reaching the halfway point of its third season, and continues the trend of adding Twitch drops for the game periodically.
Marvel Rivals is a hero shooter that lets players take control of various Marvel characters. This includes a wide variety of superheroes and villains in the comic books, from popular ones like Spider-Man to lesser-known ones like Luna Snow. The game is constantly being updated, and new heroes are periodically added to the roster. The next character is confirmed to be Blade, and Marvel Rivals recently made a major update to its Quick Play.
Official Marvel Rivals Artwork May Have Revealed 3 Unreleased Skins
NetEase Game surprises fans by revealing official artwork for Season 1: Eternal Night Falls that features three unreleased Marvel Rivals skins.
In a post from Marvel Rivals, it is confirmed that there will be another Twitch drop campaign soon, which will reward viewers with a free skin for Star-Lord. The skin is called Ignite, and can be acquired by watching any Twitch channel streaming the game for four hours total. Players will be able to get this skin starting on August 10 and will have until September 6 to obtain it. Currently, Marvel Rivals is having a Twitch Drop campaign for a Hawkeye skin, which will end around the same time that the Star-Lord one begins.
All Rewards from the Marvel Rivals Twitch Drop Campaign
-
August 6–September 2
- 1 hour - Mid-Season Ignition Spray
- 1.5 hours - Ignite Guangzhou Nameplate
-
August 9–September 5
- 1 hour - Ignite Guangzhou Spray
- 1.5 hours - Ignite Star-Lord Nameplate
-
August 10–September 6
- Champion Celebration Emote
- Ignite Star-Lord Costume
While the main draw of this campaign will be the Star-Lord skin, there are a few other free items viewers can obtain. This includes a couple of Sprays, a couple of Nameplates, and an Emote (presumably for Star-Lord). The Twitch Drop event is also split into three parts, with each one starting a day apart from the other. For players who just want to get everything at once, they can simply wait until August 10 to watch a stream, as all three parts will be available at that point. While many fans like the skin, some are disappointed, pointing out that it looks too similar to Star-Lord's default outfit. Others are disappointed that it is not part of the Will of Galactica-themed skins that Marvel Rivals has used for previous Twitch Drops.
There is plenty of content for fans to look forward to, with a new patch for Marvel Rivals coming on July 31, adding new skins for several more heroes. Additionally, Marvel still has plenty of new heroes that can be added for players to look forward to, and consistent balancing to make sure that everybody's favorite heroes are viable in matches.
