Marvel Rivals has whisked players away to a whole new take on the iconic Marvel universe. In this version, two timelines have merged, and popular Marvel characters have been forced to do battle within this world. That concept has made for a pretty fantastic adventure so far, which will likely only get better as more characters join the fun. But what makes it even stronger is the mascot that leads Marvel Rivals' entire experience.

As players fight through the world of Marvel Rivals, the daughter of Galactus serves as their constant companion. Galacta is not only the announcer, but she also serves as the face of the game itself. And while she seems to fit that role very well, NetEase Games should really consider letting her do a bit more in a future update. Specifically, she could make a great addition to the game's playable roster, so hopefully she gets that chance.

Marvel Rivals' roster is home to a few iconic Mutants, but the X-Men still has plenty of team members who would work great in the hero shooter.

Marvel Rivals Galacta Could Make a Great Addition to the Game's Roster

Galacta Only Gets to Be the Game's Mascot For Now

From the second Marvel Rivals was revealed, NetEase Games made it pretty clear that Galacta was the face of the hero shooter. She has appeared in much of the marketing, is the announcer for every single match, and seems to be the overseer of the seasonal content. It is not entirely clear what her motives or role within this new timeline is quite yet, besides overseeing the battles, but players will likely learn a lot more about her as the seasons go on.

Her inclusion may be one of the biggest surprises within Marvel Rivals as she is not that well known of a character. In fact, she has barely appeared in the comics, with her only really being a part of one story. However, Marvel Rivals seems to be setting her up as a major character, which has put a spotlight on that original story. Now that all eyes are on Galacta to see where she goes from here, it feels like NetEase Games should take her to new heights.

The Mascot Should Be Allowed to Join in on the Marvel Rivals' Fun

Galacta has been spending a long time analyzing the fighting styles of these characters, so from a lore perspective, she may decide it is time she made her mark on the battlefield. And if she maintains the powerset from the comics, then she feels tailor-made for the Strategist role, which the game desperately needs more of.

Galacta's powers have a lot to do with energy manipulation, teleportation, and even some levitation. She could bolster her allies with the Power Cosmic, flying high above danger as she did. Additionally, she could utilize a similar power to Loki, where instead of shapeshifting herself, she could shapeshift others using molecular restructuring. If that was not enough, she could also drain the lifeforce of others to bolster her own strength with her cosmic hunger. There is seemingly so much exciting potential for her abilities, and if implemented well, she could be unlike any other Strategist in the game.

Not only would it be fun for players to step into the shoes of Galacta, but it may also be the closest they could get to playing as Galactus. While there is a chance that NetEase Games has plans to adapt him to the game's roster, his planet eating methods may be hard to fit within the game's framework. But, through Galacta, players could get a similar feel as she looks like him, draws from similar power, and has strong connections to him. And since she is already in the game, it would not feel like too much of a stretch to add her to the team.
