Marvel Rivals has given players their first look at gameplay of the X-Tron skin for the upcoming Strategist Ultron, which will be coming to the game's shop on May 30. NetEase Games recently announced that it would also be adding a new map called Arrako to Marvel Rivals with the launch of its major Season 2.5 update.

In an effort to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the popular hero shooter's Closed Alpha, NetEase Games has launched the Galacta's Gift event in Marvel Rivals. Once per day, gamers can play three matches in order to claim a free item on the reward track. While some of the rewards available involve sprays and Chrono Shield Cards, many players seem to be excited about the ability to earn a free Costume Coin. Once fans claim a Costume Coin, they can exchange it for an eligible skin for one of the game's original 33 heroes. It's worth mentioning that the Costume Coin only grants players the skin itself, not the entire cosmetic bundle.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games gave gamers their first look at gameplay of the upcoming X-Tron skin for the Strategist Ultron in Marvel Rivals. According to the content creator Miller Ross on Twitter, the X-Tron costume is considered to be Epic rarity and will be sold for 1,600 Units when it makes its debut on May 30. The gold and crimson skin will be launched alongside Ultron himself, who will have the ability to deal significant amounts of damage while providing healing and support to his teammates.

Ultron won't be the only hero receiving a new skin in the store, as NetEase Games is also releasing the Yggroot skin for Groot in Marvel Rivals. The upcoming skin imagines the popular Vanguard as the legendary tree Yggdrasill, as Groot seeks to bring the ten realms back together within himself. According to Miller Ross, this skin is considered to be Legendary rarity and will be priced at 2,200 Units when it arrives in the store on May 30.

Gamers looking for a free skin may be happy to know that NetEase Games will be launching another Cerebro Database event. At the beginning of Season 2: Hellfire Gala, players were able to earn a costume for Mantis by completing the first Cerebro Database event. This time, participants will be able to earn a free skin for the Duelist Hawkeye in Marvel Rivals. This Binary Arrow version of Hawkeye has been given a mechanical makeover, as Ultron infected him with some kind of machine virus. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of the popular hero shooter.
