Marvel Rivals reveals the Voyage to Astonish event, launching alongside its anticipated PvE Zombies mode, offering new rewards to players including a free skin for Blade just for participating. The popular free-to-play title continues to reward Marvel Rivals players with free loot, though like previous offers, this one won't be around forever.
It's a big day for players as Marvel Rivals has finally added a Zombies mode, giving players a true PvE experience. The co-op mode lets 4 players face off against waves of zombies using Magik, Jeff the Land Shark, Blade, The Punisher, and Thor, ultimately leading to a confrontation with the likes of Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead. While the new game mode is now live in game, Marvel Rivals is also launching a new reward event with a special costume available for Blade.

Marvel Rivals Giving Away Free Blade Skin for a Limited-Time
Alongside the Zombies mode, fans can partake in the new Voyage to Astonish event for some free loot. While previous free skins for Marvel Rivals were typically unlocked with a special code, players simply need to participate in the event by completing missions and spending the candy resources to move around a board. On one of the nodes is the Blade Knight costume, which is the game's take on Blade's look from the Marvel Zombies animated show. Earning this skin also unlocks the accompanying Nameplate, MVP animation, emoji, and spray.
Players can also unlock a handful of free content from sprays, bundles, currency, MVP animations and more. In fact, players can even unlock a free emote called Pumpkin Curse for all heros between October 24 to November 1. However, for players who want a bit more, they can unlock the Premium Track for 690 Lattice, Marvel Rival's paid currency. The inner circle track will instantly unlock the FLoral Frights skin for Peni Parker, emoji bundle, MVP animation, and emote. Players can also access Premium nodes on the main board to unlock even more rewards like Chroma.
With the Halloween event, Marvel Rivals is also adding cross-progression to the game, a highly requested feature. However, in order to ensure everything goes smoothly, NetEase is only launching it in Early Access, with players first needing to fill out an application to even be considered to take part in the test. It's currently unknown how long cross-progression will be in Early Access for, but the selective testing will hopefully result in it being stable when it does finally launch for all players.
