A new leak suggests that Marvel Rivals could be getting Symbiote-themed skins soon. So far, Marvel Rivals has been a big success, thanks in no small part to the many different characters and alternate costumes NetEase Games adds on a regular basis. The next major Marvel Rivals character to be introduced will be Ultron, who will debut as a Strategist character on May 30.
Recent leaks have also hinted at popular X-Men members Rogue and Gambit finally being added to Marvel Rivals, much to the excitement of players who think their move sets would be a great fit for the game's frantic, team-based multiplayer action. Of course, NetEase has also been introducing alternate costumes for the heroes and villains who are already in Marvel Rivals, with the Avengers’ resident archer Hawkeye getting a free cyborg-like “Binary Arrow” skin and Groot set to receive a new Norse-inspired “Yggroot” skin on May 30.
Marvel Rivals: Why Chances are Low for Megafauna Spider-Man Villain Rhino
Marvel Rivals will hopefully feature more Spider-Man villains in the future, but Rhino is one who could theoretically be left out of the conversation.
Venom is already a part of the Marvel Rivals roster, and a new leak hints that a few other characters could be infected by his infamous Symbiote soon. As reported by ComicBook.com, a team of dataminers called X0XLeak recently shared leaked audio files of Captain America, Rocket Raccoon, Storm, and Moon Knight on Twitter, and they all seem to indicate that the characters in question have been brought under the sway of Spider-Man’s old black costume.

At one point, Captain America proudly calls himself “Captain Klyntar,” a reference to the planet where the Venom Symbiote and its brethren hail from. Rocket cautiously tells his new “partner” to bite their enemies instead of him, while Storm appears to relish her newfound power. Meanwhile, Moon Knight tells his master Khonshu that he could get “used to this,” also hinting that he has come under the power of a Symbiote in Marvel Rivals. However, there are currently no images of these hypothetical Symbiote skins, and it isn’t guaranteed that the leaked audio will be used at all.
Previous rumors have hinted that Knull, the twisted ruler of the Symbiotes, could be the main villain of the next Marvel Rivals season after Ultron, and these rumored Symbiote skins would be a perfect match if this is the case. Almost every major character has been infected by a Symbiote in the comics as well, so there would be no shortage of inspiration should NetEase decide to go this route for the next big wave of Marvel Rivals content.
