Summary

  • The Hood with unique abilities like demon transformation and shield management might join Marvel Rivals soon.
  • Despite a massive roster at launch, developers have potential plans for more characters to keep the game exciting.
  • Speculation suggests The Hood might be a Vanguard with abilities focused on shields, offering a unique playstyle option.

A new Marvel Rivals leak reveals that The Hood might be joining the character roster in the near future. While The Hood has been mentioned in some of the other Marvel Rivals leaks so far, this new piece of information has stirred up quite a bit of excitement in the community since it also lists the abilities he could potentially have.

While many expected that only a modest number of characters would be present in Marvel Rivals at launch, the developers added a whopping 33 characters to the roster. This was part of the reason for the game's success, as the sheer number of options allowed different playstyles to flourish in the Marvel Rivals. However, it seems like fans are in for more, as the developers seemingly have a lot more in store for fans.

In a new tweet, popular Marvel Rivals leaker X0X_LEAK leaked one of the characters that might come to the game in the future. According to the leak, The Hood might join Marvel Rivals in the future, wielding dual guns and having the ability to transform into his demon form. While how that feature will work is something that the leak doesn't outline, one can expect it to be along the same lines as Cloak and Dagger in Marvel Rivals. Apart from that, the leak also lists out the abilities that The Hood might have.

Marvel Rivals: The Hood Leaked Abilities

  • Dual Gun Shooting
  • Dual Gun Overheat
  • Cooling Shield
  • Shield Health Management
  • Clone Projection
  • Clone Range Control
  • Clone Detonation
  • Demon Transformation

While many expected The Hood to be a Duelist in Marvel Rivals, the abilities suggest that he might be a Vanguard instead. Vanguards are basically tanks in Marvel Rivals, who fight on the front lines and prevent allies from taking in too much damage. The Hood is being speculated to be a Vanguard because there seem to be a couple of abilities focused around shields, which is something seen only in Vanguards like Dr. Strange. However, it is the Shield Health Management ability that has intrigued fans. While it is not clear from the leak itself, some believe that it might give players a way to manage shields for their team, which could potentially make The Hood a really unique Vanguard.

At this point, it is quite difficult to predict what characters will be released in the game next. Close to fifteen Marvel Rival characters have been leaked so far, and fans are still unsure which will be added to the roster as part of Season 1 which is slated to kick off in January. It seems like the new year will be bringing tons of exciting content for Marvel Rivals fans.
