On Reddit, user njnia revealed that Loki's clones now copy his emotes in real time, making the Doppelganger ability more useful. The video in the post shows the villainous god and his clone doing the "V for Victory" emote before another clone is summoned by the player, leading to all three of them doing the emote gestures. They said that this detail didn't exist before and was only implemented in Marvel Rivals post the Season 2.5 update, which went live on May 30. Although a small change on the surface, Loki's clone being able to imitate him during emotes naturally makes it harder for the opponent to differentiate, adding to the decoy's effectiveness. After this fine tweak, it might be fair to expect the Thor nemesis to remain among the popular picks in the hero shooter game.

Several users expressed their approval of this change to Loki's Doppelganger ability, with one of them saying that now the villain can "aura farm" without getting in the way of danger. On the other hand, certain others showed their interest in trying out Loki's updated clone ability with their own emotes in Marvel Rivals.
