Marvel Rivals has revealed its latest set of patch notes for an update scheduled to arrive on July 31, which will not be accompanied by any server downtime. NetEase Games is currently preparing to launch Marvel Rivals' major mid-season update on August 8, adding Blade to the popular hero shooter's ever-expanding roster.
Players recently noticed that NetEase Games made a change to Quick Play in Marvel Rivals, which seems to have given bots more human-like behavior. Gamers have observed bots running around in lobbies before a match, swiping at teammates, and using sprays. Bots have even been seen utilizing the ping system in Quick Play. While some fans don't mind the presence of bots in Quick Play, many gamers would like to see them removed outside the Practice VS. AI game mode.
Marvel Rivals Players Think One Season 3 Hero Needs a Nerf
Marvel Rivals players come together to express their frustration over one particularly powerful character in Season 3 of NetEase Games' hero shooter.
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games released a new set of patch notes for Season 3 of Marvel Rivals, letting players know what they can expect to see when the next update goes live on July 31. This patch includes new skins for Black Panther and Magik in Marvel Rivals, which will be available in the game's shop on July 31 at 7 PM PDT. Black Panther's costume is called Phoenix Panther and shows the hero donning golden armor with a flaming crown. Meanwhile, Magik's Phoenix Demon costume shows the Duelist sporting black leather with a flaming Phoenix on her chest. As of writing, NetEase Games has not revealed just how much these new cosmetics will cost.
Marvel Rivals Showcases July 31 Patch Notes
NetEase Games also revealed that players will be able to claim a free skin for Star-Lord in Marvel Rivals. The costume will be part of the Ignite Series line of cosmetics and can be earned by watching four hours of the Mid-Season Finals on Twitch. Players will also be able to claim additional rewards for viewing the finals, such as sprays, nameplates, and an emote.
The patch notes mention that NetEase Games has addressed an issue where players could use costume-exclusive emotes on other skins by binding them to a key. The developers have also addressed a bug that would cause Hela's ultimate ability to end prematurely in Marvel Rivals. This update will not require any kind of downtime, which means players will simply need to download it and reboot their client to continue playing with minimal interruption. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.

Fixes
All Platforms
- Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, Accessory Points gained in Competitive matches were displayed incorrectly on the results screen.
- Fixed a bug where adjusting cursor sensitivity with a controller could cause individual hero keybinds to stop working.
- Addressed an exploit where costume-exclusive emotes could be used on other costumes by binding them to a key.
Heroes
- Hela's Hel-acious Hiccups: We've fixed a bug where Hela's Ultimate Ability could fizzle out and end immediately if unleashed while being launched up in poor network conditions. Now, even the trickiest lag can't banish the Queen of Hel's wrath.
- Hulk's Leaping Lament: Resolved an issue where Hulk's Incredible Leap could go haywire on stairs if the camera is tilted almost straight down, causing Hulk to jump in unexpected directions. Hulk's leaps are now as unstoppable as his rage, no more stairway to confusion!
Console
- Fixed an issue on PlayStation where, in rare situations, players could get stuck and be unable to exit the Highlights screen after watching a replay.
The Marvel Rivals universe is ever-evolving, and we have plenty more surprises and updates on the horizon. Stay tuned to our official announcements for more!
