Marvel Rivals has added a proficiency icon below the heroes' images, making it easier to check their progress. The feature was highly requested by Marvel Rivals players, who wanted a less complicated way to keep track of their grind when playing with the game's heroes.
After all, playing with the characters from the NetEase shooter enhances the experience and unlocks Marvel Rivals proficiency rewards - a spray, two themed KO prompts, and a Lord icon when players hit max level with a character. The frequency with which gamers play with the heroes also helps progress in the Heroic Journey, which has a list of achievements for players to hunt. By getting all of these achievements, players receive 1,500 credits, along with Star-Lord and Storm skins.
To help players, Marvel Rivals now displays the proficiency icon below each character's thumbnail in the heroes tab. The feature was added with the release of the Marvel Rivals March 6 update, addressing a request that players had been making for some time. Thanks to this new addition, players no longer have to navigate through menus to check their proficiency level. The community reacted very positively to the new feature and suggested others, such as ranking heroes in order of mastery and pinning characters of choice to the top of the screen. Another quality-of-life improvement requested by users in the comments section is to equip sprays collectively, instead of the current mode, which equips sprays individually.
Players Praise Marvel Rivals Devs for Listening to Community Feedback
As well as being excited about the small but useful addition, the other Redditors praised the developers for listening to further feedback from the Marvel Rivals community. The display of proficiency icons in the heroes tab isn't the only quality-of-life improvement the devs have included in patch 20250307. They've also added a setting to improve the microphone audio, and an option within the match menu for players to report those who abandon Marvel Rivals matches prematurely.
Going beyond quality-of-life improvements, the main additions of the March 6 update are two new limited-time events. In the Galacta Cosmic Adventure, Marvel Rivals players will progress through a board game-style event pass and unlock various rewards. The main one is the new Black Widow skin based on Marvel 1872, which gives Natasha Romanoff a Wild West-style outfit. Clone Rumble is the newest Marvel Rivals mode in which teams vote for one hero each, with players able to choose between the two throughout the match.
