NetEase has collaborated with Marvel Games once more to bring an exciting new video game for Marvel fans, called Marvel Rivals. This third-person hero shooter pits many of Marvel’s iconic heroes and villains against each other in intense 6-vs-6 battles. With a roster of 30+ Marvel characters, including everyone’s favorite Captain America, aesthetic visuals, and fast-paced combat, Marvel Rivals looks set to make its mark in the hero shooter genre.
Since its announcement, Marvel fans have been eagerly waiting to explore unique new worlds and battle it out with their favorite superheroes and villains in Marvel Rivals. Thankfully, the wait is finally over as Marvel Rivals has an official release date.

Marvel Rivals Release Date And Time
Marvel Rivals is all set to launch globally on December 6, 2024, at 00:00 UTC on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The release date was confirmed during Gamescom 2024, along with a new gameplay trailer.
PC players can preload Marvel Rivals starting December 4, 2024, at 00:00 UTC. Once the servers go live on December 6th, they can immediately jump into the game and dominate the battlefield.
At launch, Marvel Rivals will feature 33 iconic Marvel heroes and villains, eight maps for quick play and competitive modes, a dedicated conquest map, and a practice range. Best of all, all heroes in Marvel Rivals will be playable for free at launch and in the foreseeable future.
Marvel Rivals Gameplay Details
In Marvel Rivals, a catastrophic event known as the Timestream Entanglement is triggered by a conflict between Doctor Doom and his future self. This results in the merging of multiple universes, creating a chaotic reality where superheroes and villains from different timelines are forced to confront each other.
To prevent either Doom from gaining absolute power, these heroes and villains must form alliances and battle it out in a desperate struggle for survival. You need to assemble a squad of Marvel superheroes and villains, ranging from the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and even Cloak And Dagger.
Each of these Marvel characters has unique abilities. You can combine these abilities to create powerful team-up moves and reverse the tide of battle. The best part is, all the environments are destructible in Marvel Rivals, meaning you can reshape the terrain and use your superpowers to alter the environments to turn the battle in your favor. It all comes down to how you strategize and combine your team's abilities to outsmart your opponents and win in Marvel Rivals.
