Marvel Rivals has released a new trailer for Season 4: Heart of the Dragon, which confirms that both Daredevil and Angela are joining the game's roster of heroes. Marvel Rivals was an instant success when it launched late last year, with many hailing it as a worthy competitor to Blizzard's Overwatch. Enthusiasm for Marvel Rivals has waned somewhat since its explosive launch, but the game is still one of the most popular live-service titles on the market.

The Marvel Rivals player count is down from its peak, but the game is still holding strong thanks to a regular release of updates. New Marvel Rivals updates have made balance changes based on fan feedback, added new maps to battle it out on, and of course, introduced new heroes to select. Every season brings new characters for Marvel Rivals players to play as, and Season 4 will be no exception to the rule.

There has been much speculation about what Marvel Rivals Season 4 will be bringing to the table, but fans need wonder no more. It has now been confirmed that both Daredevil and Angela will be headlining the new season, set to start on Friday, September 12. The trailer revealing Daredevil and Angela for Marvel Rivals Season 4 is cinematic in nature, but does hint at their abilities. It seems Angela will use a spear and will have angelic-themed projectiles at her disposal, as well as the ability to bind her opponents. Daredevil, meanwhile, seems to have a dash ability in addition to his trusty billy clubs. It also looked like Daredevil "marked" Angela in some way because she had a red hand floating above her head at one point in the trailer, but I could be misinterpreting things. The good news is that with Marvel Rivals Season 4 right around the corner, a full rundown on each new heroes' ability kit should be released sooner rather than later.

Marvel Rivals has more DPS characters than it does any other category, so it will be interesting to see which classes Daredevil and Angela fall into. Based on the trailer, it seems likely that Daredevil will be a DPS and Angela will be a tank, but it's possible that they are both tanks. Time will tell on that front, but more information should come to light sooner rather than later.

Who is Angela?

Angela is not the most famous Marvel comics hero of all time, but she certainly has her fans, and her Marvel Rivals debut should raise her stock considerably. She originally appeared in Todd McFarlane's Spawn series, but was eventually sold to Marvel by Neil Gaiman. Angela is a powerful Asgardian and Thor's sister.

The Marvel Rivals roster has grown quite a bit since launch, so if you are someone that hasn't played since its big debut last December, there are plenty of new heroes to check out. Season 1 added the entire Fantastic Four and two new maps, while Season 2 added Emma Frost, Ultron, and the iconic Krokoa. The ongoing Season 3 added Phoenix and Blade, while Season 4 will feature the aforementioned Angela and Daredevil when it launches on September 12.
