- NetEase Games plans to add a new hero every six weeks, promising a steady flow of fan-favorite characters to Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals fans have collaborated to create an incredible piece of concept art for Taskmaster, capturing the essence of the villain in the hero shooter's distinct art style. NetEase Games recently debuted their second limited-time event in Marvel Rivals, titled Fortune & Colors. Along with many free rewards, players can participate in a new game mode, Clash of Dancing Lions, which functions like a superpowered version of soccer.
Many fans have been theorizing about which heroes and villains could come to Marvel Rivals next, with some being more likely than others. Several players have even created full ability kits for characters like Rogue, workshopping their ideas with other gamers on social media. While it's unlikely NetEase Games would implement any of these concepts verbatim, the community still seems to have fun envisioning their ideal roster for the popular title.
No Damage Marvel Rivals Ranked Run Ends in Disaster
After reaching Grandmaster rank as Rocket Raccoon, one player's no damage run comes to an incredibly disappointing end in Marvel Rivals.
In a recent post on Reddit, Japanese_inspired shared a new piece of fan-made Marvel Rivals concept art showcasing the villain Taskmaster in the hero shooter's distinct style by redunitink, melvinchanart, and jackson_caspersz. In the image, the character dons a large white cloak with dark blue and orange armor underneath, staying true to the villain's classic comic book colors. Taskmaster holds a sword in his right hand, with a small circular shield strapped to his left forearm.
Marvel Rivals Fans Create Taskmaster Concept Art
Some gamers suggested that Taskmaster should have the power to steal abilities from other characters on the battlefield, similar to Loki in Marvel Rivals. Many people were quick to suggest various roles for the villain, though his wide variety of abilities makes it difficult, as he could truly fit as a Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist. A large portion of gamers seemed to prefer the Vanguard role, stating that his sword and shield made him seem like a natural tank.
A large portion of the community has dedicated time and effort to creating concept art for heroes like Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Gambit in Marvel Rivals. If the leakers are to be believed, all three of those heroes could be coming to the popular hero shooter in the near future. However, there have been claims that some leaks are actually false, and were intentionally planted in the files by the developers to keep the community guessing. Regardless, NetEase Games has announced that a new hero will be added to the title's roster every six weeks, meaning players won't have to wait long to see more fan-favorite characters make their debut. With so much content on the horizon, many gamers are excited about the future of Marvel Rivals.
