Magik in Marvel Snap is one of the most uncommon, yet unique, cards that players can use in the card game. That's because although Magik provides a fascinating ability that changes up a match, her card just does not have too many synergies. Even so, there are specific ways that Magik can almost guarantee a victory for the player in Marvel Snap.
The strategy with Magik requires a heavy reliance on draw-luck, as well as a reliance on cards that withhold large amounts of Power. With these cards in correct combinations, Magik can be the sole reason that players win a game in Marvel Snap, so there's plenty of incentive to build the best Magik deck.
The Best Magik Deck in Marvel Snap
Magik is a 5-Cost card with only 3-Power. Though her card lacks in Power, Magik has the On Reveal ability, which can only be played before turn 6, to change the location to Limbo. Limbo makes it so that there is a seventh turn for players to play.
This Magik Infinaut deck utilizes the most out of an extra turn to ensure that players are able to put out enough Power onto a location to win it. In this deck, there are multiple 6-Cost cards, Dracula to potentially take on of those cards' Power, Sunspot to gain Power from skipped turns, and much, much more. Each card in this Magik Infinaut deck has an important purpose.

Players will likely notice the large handful of 6-Cost cards, and they are present for good reason. Firstly, Sunspot needs to be played in the first few turns, so players can consistently get Power through him when skipping turns. Adam Warlock can, hopefully, be played to ensure Magik or another great card is pulled. Armor is played to protect Sunspot from any destruction cards.
Dracula, who works great with Pool 3 discard decks, can gain Power from one of the 6-Cost cards, all of which have great Power. Shang-Chi, Killmonger, and Magneto are all cards that can counter opponents. Magik is played on turn 5, so that players can, ideally, skip turn 6, giving She-Hulk 0-Cost, and then being able to play Infinaut on turn 7. This means that on turn 5, players will want to have Magik, She-Hulk, and Infinaut in hand. In detail, here's what each card does in this Magik Infinaut deck:
- Sunspot: Gains +1 Power for each unused Energy.
- Adam Warlock: If winning this location, the player draws an extra card.
- Armor: Cards can't be destroyed at this location.
- Killmonger: Destroy all 1-Cost cards.
- Dracula: Discard a card at the end of the game. Dracula has that card's Power.
- Shang-Chi: Destroy an opposing card with 9 or more Power at this location.
- Magik: Change this location to Limbo. (Add a turn 7)
- She-Hulk: Cost 1 Energy less for each unspent Energy last turn.
- Hulk: Is angry.
- Magneto: Move opposing 3 and 4-Cost cards to this location.
- Giganto: Can only be played on the left location.
- Infinaut: Can't be played if the player played a card last turn.
The Best Cards to Use in a Magik Deck
Magik has a few synergistic cards that players can pair with the 5-Cost card, but the ones that do work with Magik work perfectly. Focusing a deck around Magik's card takes a lot of trial and error, as it can be difficult to perfect a combination of cards that stay in sync with Magik.
With this in mind, the best cards to keep in a Magik deck are ones that rally off of having a seventh turn in Marvel Snap. Infinaut, Sunspot, and almost any 6-Cost card like America Chavez, and She-Hulk are all amazing when paired with the Queen of Limbo. These cards, mostly in combination, prove that a Magik deck can be viable.
The Best Counter for Magik
Countering Magik can be a difficult action to take, especially when playing with a deck that finalizes its Power on turn 6. To counter an opponent who is using Magik, players can use the most common counter-type cards in Marvel Snap to stop Magik from making a turn 7.
Leech and Cosmo can stop Magik from creating Limbo at all, which is great. Alternatively, Storm, Rhino, and Scarlet Witch are all wonderful cards to throw on top of Limbo to take the enemy by surprise and completely ruin their strategy with a turn 7.
Marvel Snap is available on mobile devices and PC.
