Marvel fans can't get enough of one ongoing TV series, so they want the superhero lead to be featured on the big screen. The Marvel star shared a cheeky response, leaving fans with an assignment to materialize what they want.

It's normal for Marvel fans to demand a movie featuring their favorite superhero. For instance, there had been a clamor for a Black Widow solo movie after they saw Scarlett Johansson's debut in Iron Man 2 (2010). After 11 years, Marvel Studios released Black Widow (2021). Fans have been crying out for a new X-Men film since Disney recovered the rights after buying 20th Century Fox. Fans are making the same request for another superhero they're seeing on Disney+.

‘Those Iconic Characters Are Always In Your Mind’ Daredevil: Born Again Showrunner On Bringing Back MCU Heroes

The Daredevil: Born Again showrunner admits they are considering bringing back a few more familiar faces.

Daredevil has been one of the MCU favorites since its debut on Netflix in 2015. It ran for three seasons on the streaming giant. A fourth season was canceled as Marvel moved to Disney. However, it picked up the show with Daredevil: Born Again, which premiered on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. Despite seeing the Man Without Fear in his own series, many still want to see him on the big screen. Charlie Cox was asked about a Daredevil movie in an interview at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, and he gave a straight-out response. "I'm the worst person to ask," he said. "I have no idea." Cox, instead, directed fans to raise their questions to the "grown-ups" because he didn't have the answer. However, he agreed that a Daredevil movie would be a good idea and even said the Born Again pilot was a "cinematic episode." So, he is all-out for a movie and even encouraged fans to do their part to convince those in the higher-ups to bet on that film. He added:

It feels like it deserves to be seen on the big screen. But, I don't know. Just write letters, everyone just write letters.

A Daredevil Film Seems Like A No-Brainer At This Point For Marvel Studios

Although Cox hasn't starred in a solo MCU film, he appeared in Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). He made a brief but notable cameo in the film as Matt Murdock, Peter Parker's lawyer. He impressed Peter when he caught a brick thrown through a window with remarkable reflexes, hinting at his superhero abilities. Cox's Daredevil co-star Vincent D'Onofrio was also asked several times about potentially joining Holland's Spider-Man. Holland will play the wall-crawler superhero once more in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, unlike Cox, who is hopeful of being on the big screen, D'Onofrio believed his character, Kingpin, wouldn't appear on the big screen anytime soon due to "rights" issues. Kingpin is part of the Spider-Man Universe, owned by Sony, so the MCU can't just feature him without Sony's approval.

Cox has received praise for his authentic and emotional performance as Daredevil. He brings depth, vulnerability, and grit to Matt, while showing both the struggles of a blind lawyer dealing with his inner demons and the tough, action-packed side of being a street-level vigilante. Fans are convinced that Cox was a perfect casting for the superhero character, and there's no denying that his chemistry with his co-stars Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), and D'Onofrio was natural. This is among the reasons many want to see them on the big screen. Cox might not get his solo movie, but he might join other MCU films like Spider-Man 4 and Secret Wars. This isn't unlikely since he had already appeared in Spider-Man 3. While Cox's future of appearing in an upcoming MCU film is uncertain, what's sure is that he will return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will premiere on Disney in March 2026.
