Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was announced in June 2025 and is a tag-team fighting game with 4v4 matchups. In partnership with Marvel Games, Arc System Works, the studio behind Dragon Ball FighterZ and the Guilty Gear series, promises a unique experience from the Marvel Universe. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Will Have a Closed Beta For PlayStation 5 Players

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has revealed a closed beta for PlayStation 5 players taking place from September 5 to 7. The announcement was made at Evo 2025, and said that fans need to visit the official site for the Marvel Tokon beta and sign up for a chance to test the game. The developers have confirmed that the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls characters available will be Iron Man, Dr. Doom, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Storm, and Captain America, with New York as the playable stage. The beta will feature online lobby matches, limited offline matches, rollback netcode, spectator mode, and a training tutorial.

For players trying to join the beta for Arc System Works' new title and encountering the “Invalid Link” error, the developers stated that this occurs due to previously joining the PlayStation Beta program. As such, they are automatically registered to test Arc System Works' fighting game. It was also revealed during the presentation at Evo 2025 that the development team plans to support Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls for the next 10 years.

In addition to announcing the closed beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls at Evo 2025, Arc System Works brought a playable demo to the famous fighting game tournament. Gameplay footage is appearing on social media, like victory animations for Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Doctor Doom. Peter Quill, the iconic member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, puts on his headphones and plays music to dance to. Ms. Marvel celebrates by making a V for victory sign and chewing gum. Doctor Doom walks among the Doombots and sits on a throne, with his robots lined up in rows.
