Over the cross of the Mass Effect trilogy, gamers will experience tons of emotional moments as Commander Shepard; during these scenes, they'll deliver some epic lines that are hard to forget. From silly interjections to tearjerking moments, Mass Effect has got it all.

While everyone on the crew has iconic sayings, this list focuses on the main character of the Mass Effect trilogy; it will dive into the most memorable quotes delivered by the one and only, Commander Shepard.

"No Matter What Happens, You Mean Everything to Me. You Always Will."

Video Game Archaeologists Liara Tsoni

Liara T'Soni is one of the most important characters in this trilogy, which is why she is many players' choice when it comes to romance in Mass Effect. If players choose Liara as their love interest, they will be able to experience a beautiful moment between the two at the end of Mass Effect 3.

In Mass Effect 3, before Shepard enters the Citadel to decide the fate of the entire galaxy, Liara gets injured in battle and needs to be escorted back to the Normandy. She objects, but Shepard insists that she can't stay and fight any longer. This leads to a heartbreaking goodbye between the pair in which Shepard expresses their eternal love for her, to which she replies "I am yours," before being taken away.

"30.1"

Closure at Grimsson Academy

Shepherd talking to David Archer in Mass Effect 3

Gamers who complete Overlord DLC in Mass Effect 2 will have to decide to either save David Archer or let him continue to be part of Project Overlord. Due to his impressive mathematic capabilities which derive from autism, David's brother, Gavin, subjected him to inhumane tests run by Cerberus. In Mass Effect 2, David Archer repeats the calculations of the square root starting at 906.01 ("the square root of 906.01 equals 30.1") between his sentences, even when he's begging the crew to make it stop after becoming a VI hybrid.

If players save David Archer, they can find him in Mass Effect 3 at Grimsson Academy. Upon approaching him, Shepard will hear him say "the square root of 906.01 equals..." To which they will respond with "30.1," - a tearjerking moment for those who helped the former Cerberus test subject.

"If I'm Up There On That Bar And You're Not, I'll Be Looking Down. I'll Always Have Your Back."

One Last Conversation With Garrus

Mass Effect 3 Garrus and James Vega On the Moon

Many gamers will grow particularly attached to Garrus, as he's the squadmate that spends the most time with Shepard across all Mass Effect games. While Tali is also available as a member of the Normandy Crew in all three games, she can't be recruited until well into the second Mass Effect.

At the end of Mass Effect 3, gamers can speak to their favorite characters to bid them farewell before the final fight, and the conversation between Garrus and Shepard is one of the most emotional moments in the trilogy. Garrus admits that he's not sure Turian heaven is the same as human's heaven, but if so, they must meet at the bar, to which Shepard replies with this quote - a prime example of true loyalty and friendship.

"Take heart. Look Around You. You're Not in This Fight Alone. We Face Our Enemy Together and Together We Will Defeat Them."

A Speech for Old Times' Sake

Mass Effect 3 Citadel Single Player DLC

While Shepard's speech at the Collector base in Mass Effect 2 is powerful, the mix of emotions that fans will experience while listening to their final words to their squadmates on Earth before the final mission in the trilogy hits differently.

Throughout BioWare's Mass Effect trilogy, Shepard meets many fascinating people, few more so than Legion. What are the Geth's best quotes?

Shepard's final speech emphasizes the importance of the friendships that were built on the Normandy in the years before; how the hardships shaped them into who they are now and how standing together will be a crucial part of defeating the Repears. On top of this, Mass Effect 3 focused on an urgency to bring together everyone in the galaxy to defeat a common enemy, which adds to the importance of unity.

"The Best."

A Farewell With the Citadel DLC

After taking care of their evil clone in the Mass Effect Citadel DLC, Shepard will find themselves on the Citadel's docking bay looking out at the Normandy. Here, their love interest will approach them and engage in one of the most memorable conversations in the game.

The Citadel DLC is the perfect farewell to everyone who tagged along throughout the trilogy. In this conversation, Shepard talks about how they threw one hell of the party, and that it was probably the last with the crew. Shepard's significant other then reminisces and ends with "we've had a good ride," to which the Commander will reply "the best" - two simple words but filled with emotion.
