Mass Effect's Garrus Vakarian is many things. Former C-Sec Investigator, mercenary Archangel, Turian, and possible romance option, yet now he can add Jedi Warrior to that list. Garrus is one of the Mass Effect trilogy's most loved characters, with his writing and character standing out to many as some of the strongest in the series. There was even a statue created in Garrus' honor to mark the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

BioWare's own appreciation of Garrus aside, many fans have often taking to sharing their love for their favorite alien. A lot of these pieces of artwork feature the companion as FemShep's romantic partner, with one particular piece imagining what a wedding would be like between a female Commander Shepard and Garrus. Now, Reddit user u/Overlord416 has posted their version of Garrus, who is rocking full Jedi attire.

Wearing a set of brownish robes, boots to accomodate his raptor-like feet, and a purple lightsaber, the artist has reimagined Garrus as a Jedi with a great attention to detail. The post sent many Mass Effect fans into full on sci-fi geek mode, with one fan joking that they'd hate to be whatever Jedi Master had to watch Garrus calibrate his lightsaber for hours on end, a joke referencing Garrus' calibration lines when a player tries to speak with him aboard the Normandy.

This is not the first time an artist has created crossover work between Mass Effect and another franchise. Notably, one artist back in October reimagined a couple of the sci-fi RPGs characters as though they were mercenaries in Team Fortress 2. Garrus again featured as the Sniper, while scientist Salarian Mordin was the Medic. With Garrus depicted as a Jedi Knight though, this sent many Mass Effect fans stumbling into speculation on the possibility of a crossover between Star Wars and BioWare's celebrated and acclaimed series.

Though it is highly unlikely that an official crossover will ever be seen between Star Wars and Mass Effect, both franchises are succeeding on their own. Mass Effect has seen the release of its Legendary Edition this year, reminding those who already played the original trilogy why they liked it, and introducing a whole new generation of gamers to the original Mass Effect experience.

Many are also eagerly anticipating the release of a new Mass Effect title, which has slowly been teased over the past year since it was first revealed at The Game Awards. Developer BioWare currently has its hands full with Dragon Age 4 though, so it will likely be some time before we see even a vague release date for a new Mass Effect title. With fans still creating art paying tribute to their favorite characters, it seems that many Mass Effect players are content with what they already have.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
