Sneak in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is a minor skill that’s extremely useful for players who want to sneak up on their opponents without alerting them or for pickpocketing an NPC’s entire inventory. Leveling up Sneak can be complicated at times, as pickpocketing openly can cause guards to catch you, forcing you to pay a fine or face jail time.
Oblivion Remastered: How to Restock Shops
If you're wondering how to restock shops in Oblivion Remastered, you've come to the right place. Here's how to do so.
As sneaking is quite useful in some of the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests, leveling it up becomes a necessity. Luckily for players eager to get the minor skill to max level, there is an exploit they can take advantage of. Here is how the skill exploit works in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
Max Sneak Skill Exploit, Explained in Oblivion Remastered
To start, players must fast travel back to the Imperial City Prison, which they seemingly break out of during the game's tutorial. Upon arriving at the prison, head inside the Bastion, and you should find an Imperial Jailor sitting right in front of you. Talk to the Jailor, and unlike with other guards who only offer options for directions and rumours, you will get the unique option to "Visit a Prisoner" here.
Once selected, the Jailor will inform you that he can unlock the door for you, but will also remind you that he must accompany you to the cell. Follow him, and as he opens the wooden door, step inside slightly, making sure the Jailor stays outside. Then t alk to the Jailor again and choose the same option to visit a prisoner—he will repeat the same dialogue and close the door behind you, leaving you unaccompanied in the cell area. With no one watching, head downstairs to Claudius Arcadia's cell.
Stand near the cell, crouch, and you’ll get the option to Pick Pockets, although he will have nothing on him. Do not worry, as the animation alone is enough to increase your Sneak. Repeat this action several times to see a noticeable increase in your Sneak level.
Keep in mind that each pickpocket animation grants the same amount of XP, so after reaching around Level 50, you’ll notice that leveling up takes longer. However, if you're determined to reach the max level in Sneak, this exploit is absolutely worth taking advantage of.
