Chris Hemsworth is hyping his return as Thor in the MCU's upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Hemsworth was last seen as the Marvel hero in 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder, which saw Natalie Portman return as Jane Foster. The story saw Jane also become Thor, with the two battling to stop Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. The Taika Waititi-directed film was met with mixed reception, but the finale left Thor responsible for raising Gorr's daughter, seeing him take on a fatherly role.

Thor is set to return for Avengers: Doomsday alongside a stellar cast of returning characters, including Robert Downey Jr. In the new role of Doctor Doom, The Fantastic Four, who are making their MCU debut in July, and the Thunderbolts/New Avengers.
