Kaiyodo has announced a new wave of Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi action figures for characters from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater ahead of the game’s launch. Kaiyodo is a Japanese toy company producing merchandise from anime and other licenses, including Godzilla. Revoltech describes the unique Revolver Joint articulation in Revolver Technology, being a staple product line for the company, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater fans should expect premium figures to come from the manufacturer.

Delta is Konami’s remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, serving as a prequel following FOX operative Naked Snake, who is tasked with thwarting the Soviet superweapon Shagohod. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s opening movie featured a newly-recorded version of the theme song, teasing the remake’s enhanced graphics ahead of its August 28 release, and fans now have a trio of action figures on their radars as well.

Announced on social media, Kaiyodo announced three characters, based on their Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater counterparts, would be receiving the action figure treatment, adding to the Metal Gear Solid 2 Snake Figma action figure that was revealed last year. Naked Snake, The Boss, and Ocelot are the figures confirmed so far, with Kaiyodo unveiling a new addition every day over the past week, but a pre-order release window for these products has yet to be confirmed.

The Metal Gear Solid community offered a warm reception to the figure announcements, with one Twitter user noting that it felt good to be receiving figures from the franchise again, thanks to the remake’s existence. Additionally, some fans commented that they didn’t want any more bonus pre-order parts that often come with Revoltech products. Revoltech figures have also been produced for Ninja Gaiden characters, adding to Koei Tecmo’s very successful financial year, revealing models for Ryu Hayabusa, Ayane, and Kasumi.

There are several exciting elements that have been confirmed for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater so far, adapting the original game for modern tech. Improvements such as the quick camo system and over-the-shoulder shooting will be present in the remake, alongside the return of the classic CQC and the Codec system features.
