Fox Hunt supports up to 12 players with gameplay that revolves around the Metal Gear series' signature mechanics: stealth and survival. Revealed in a new trailer, the mode introduces the AT-Camo device, which allows players to blend into their surroundings. It also features an environmental scanner called Naked Sense, which enables them to detect nearby items and enemies at the cost of stamina.

The multiplayer mode will include three biomes, such as the jungle, along with two rulesets that are randomly assigned to each match. Notably, Fox Hunt will have no microtransactions, suggesting that any unlockable items will probably be earned through progression—if collectibles are included at all.

Despite performance issues and a rocky start on some platforms, it is safe to say that Konami's Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been a success. It sold over one million copies shortly after release, and the upcoming Fox Hunt mode has the potential to push sales even higher. The game peaked at around 20,000 concurrent players on Steam, and it will be interesting to see if it can surpass that number on October 30 when Fox Hunt goes live.
