Posted on YouTube, Konami shared Kyle Cooper’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s “re-done” opening sequence with the community, lasting approximately three minutes. Not to be confused with the live-action Metal Gear Solid movie that’s been stuck in the pre-development stage for years, Snake Eater’s opening movie was noted as being the clean version, showing key scenes from the game. One of the more notable features from the movie, however, was the return of singer Cynthia Harrell’s iconic theme song, which was said to be a new recording. While the song sounds very close to the original, there have been a few noticeable changes to the mixing to make it sound smoother.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Releases Opening Movie With Re-Recorded Cynthia Harrell Theme Song
Ahead of its August launch, fans have already received Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater PC system requirements, and the opening movie has only ignited further hype in the gaming community. Several fans were stunned to hear how Harrell sounded nearly identical to the original 2004 song 20 years later, and the theme managed to retain those James Bond comparisons. Serving as a remake, gamers have a long list of the most exciting features confirmed in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Various improvements, such as the quick camo system and over-the-shoulder shooting, are something to look forward to, as well as the return of classic elements, like the CQC and the Codec system. Additionally, the new Snake vs Monkey mode has the fandom wishing for August to arrive sooner rather than later, and more has still to be announced for PS5, Xbox, and PC versions.
