Pacifism is a core tenet of the series, so it makes sense that there's a trophy/achievement for not killing anyone in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. You can get through the entirety of Metal Gear Solid Delta without taking a single life, and that even includes the bosses you'll face along the way.
There are only so many non-lethal weapons in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, so your options are much more limited in a pacifist run. It's still much easier to earn the Peace Walker achievement/trophy than you'd think, however, and it'll only take a few hours. Here's how to beat Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater without killing anyone to unlock the Peace Walker trophy.
Spoiler Alert: Some minor spoilers are discussed below regarding what does and does not count as a lethal kill.
7 Open-World Games That Are Perfect for Pacifist Playthroughs
Whether players hate violence or simply want to feel the challenge of a pacifist run, these open-world games are the perfect place to start.
How to Beat MGS Delta Without Killing Anyone
Instead of worrying about limited suppressors and tranquilizer darts, the easiest way to complete Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater without killing anyone is to use the EZ Gun. This weapon is available on the Very Easy difficulty level, and it's essentially a tranquilizer gun with unlimited ammo that doesn't require suppressors, either. It also raises your camo index and makes you much harder to spot.
With the EZ Gun, you can blitz through every area of MGS Delta and just shoot any guard that gets in your way. It also makes boss fights much more manageable for a pacifist run, since you can just shoot them like normal and not have to worry about anything else. As long as you completely avoid lethal weapons during boss encounters, you'll have nothing to worry about.
What Counts as a Kill in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater?
Kills only count if an enemy directly dies by your hand in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Because of this distinction, you can get away with some surprisingly lethal strategies while keeping your overall kill count at zero.
If you tranquilize a guard on a hovercraft, and they end up crashing, for example, that won't count against you. The same goes for shooting an explosive barrel that just so happens to be next to an enemy or throwing a venomous animal at a guard. For some reason, those don't count as kills. You're also safe if any bikes crash and explode during the final chase sequence as long as you don't fire any lethal weapons yourself.
Knocking out a guard and having them drown, fall into a pit trap, or get electrocuted will count as a kill, however. If a vulture eats the body of an unconscious soldier, that's a kill as well.
Animals don't count as kills, so feel free to kill and eat anything you need to fill your stamina bar.
You can blast through Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater from start to finish in just a few hours with this method. While you can try to get the Peace Walker trophy on a higher difficulty, it's not worth the effort unless you're going for a specific title or challenge. It's better to just get the Peace Walker achievement out of the way so you can focus on harder trophies during your next Snake Eater run.
