How To Prepare For Undead Grius In Metaphor: ReFantazio

- Hulkenberg - Knight
Hulkenberg will awaken to her Archetype right before the battle, and hers will be the most important. There are two main ways to approach this boss battle, and should you want the Protagonist to be center stage dealing most of the damage, buy some healing supplies from the store to have Strohl ready as a backup healer just in case. To make the battle easier, try to have the Seeker at level four where it learns Tarukaja, and have the Warrior learn Heat Up to increase Strohl's damage further.

How To Defeat Undead Grius In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Undead Grius has a weakness to Light attacks.
Your key to success in this fight is using Hulkenberg's Knight's Proclamation every turn. This will focus Grius' attacks only on her and keep the rest of the party safe to focus purely on attacking. The Knight resists slashing damage, which is the only damage type Undead Grius does, so Hulkenberg will take reduced damage the entire fight with your only concern being if Grius lands a critical, but that still only gives him another turn to hit Hulkenberg for reduced damage.
While Hulkenberg tanks all the attention, have Strohl focus on spamming Diagonal slash, and have the protagonist use Tarukaja to buff his attack. The Protagonist can switch every turn between buffing Strohl's attack and healing Hulkenberg to quickly get Strohl to level three buffed attack while Hulkenberg keeps her health up. Rinse and repeat and this fight won't cause too many issues.
The other option is to pass Strohl's turn to the Protagonist to use the new Synthesis attack Rider Of The Blade. While this does use Hulkenberg, it won't disrupt her Knight's Proclamation. This Synthesis attack does take two press turn icons to use but restores two back as it will hit Undead Grius' weakness. With this strategy, buffing attack with Tarukaja won't be as necessary thanks to the damage of the stronger attack, and Strohl can use healing items to help Hulkenberg stay up. Both strategies work, though the second one does more damage overall especially depending on the Protagonist's stats.
