One of the key ways in which Metaphor: ReFantazio stands out from other JRPGs out there is the inclusion of its Archetype system. The system's function is quite similar to jobs or classes in other genre titles, but it has a much more synergistic relationship with the characters as well as the context of the story. Not only does each Archetype come with its own look, but there are also specific skills that come with mastering each one.
Throughout your adventures, you will gain more allies and, consequently, more Archetypes. Fulfilling certain requirements will see new ones added, existing ones get more powerful via advanced forms, and if you want to push things all the way, you can have each party member master every Archetype so you are more than well-prepared for any obstacles standing in your way. If you are seeking to gain access to all Archetypes in the game, this guide is for you.

It's finally time to take out the annoying Glodell in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and here's how to do it quickly and efficiently.
Understanding Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once you have unlocked an Archetype in Metaphor: ReFantazio, engaging in battles and doing certain quests can earn you the required experience to level it up. Each Archetype has a level cap of 20, and you will need to earn and use Magla or MAG in order to unlock more Archetypes for a character or to inherit skills.
The protagonist has the most potential to maximize the use of this system, and it is this mixing and matching of skills that will allow players to potentially create all-powerful parties that can wipe out enemies in just a few moves.

Naturally, all of the Royal Archetypes are the most powerful among the game's total selection, with the Prince being the most powerful Archetype that players can gain access to. In fact, once you have obtained all of the other Royal Archetypes in the game, be sure to visit More and talk to him to obtain a key item. This will allow a party with the Prince and other Royal Archetypes to use a secret Synthesis skill called Armageddon's Final Sire, which deals 9,999 damage to all enemies.
