Players will unlock new Archetypes by meeting followers and ranking them up by spending time with them in Metaphor: ReFantazio. When you first unlock a follower, you'll get their corresponding Archetype, with later elite Archetypes being unlocked as you further rank up that follower.
During the early sections of the game, players will want to meet all their possible followers right away to get the base Archetypes to start ranking them up, and More's quests will help give you some guidance for the missable Archetypes. More's Task Chapter Two: Solitude, will require the player to get the Merchant Archetype to level 15; here's how to unlock it.

How To Unlock The Merchant Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio
The Merchant Archetype is that of your follower Brigitta, the Igniter Merchantess you meet during your first trip down the main road of Grand Trad. To unlock Brigitta as a follower, you'll first need to get to Wisdom level 2. In Grand Trad, this can be done by sitting on the bench to check "View of The Royal Capital" which is found just to the right of Brigitta's Igniter shop.
Players can also accept the quest, "Help the Hushed Honeybee" and help out at the Inn that same night to complete the quest. Turning it in the next day will give you enough points of Wisdom to rank up and begin Brigitta's quest, "A Bullish Embargo". This quest will take up a day as you'll need to travel to a nearby dungeon and fight your way to the boss, the Grotesque Guptauros which is fairly difficult if you're tackling it during your free time in Grand Trad.
Once you beat the boss, return to Brigitta the next day who will reward you for completing the quest along with becoming one of your followers and unlocking the Merchant Archetype.

How To Quickly Level Up An Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio
To complete More's request, you'll need to get the Merchant Archetype to level 15 on any party member. The Merchant is a very unique Archetype in that it deals Almighty damage, though it uses Reeve for its main skill. If spending your money to attack doesn't sound like something you want to do, here are a few other ways to quickly level up the Archetype and complete More's request.
- Use Hero's Incense or Hero's Fruit for XP straight to that Archetype. These are common quest rewards, though be careful using them all at once for one quest. (You also got many of these as a pre-order bonus for the game)
- Overworld combat in a dungeon with respawnable enemies you can kill without Squad combat.
