Metaphor: ReFantazio's final month of the game will bring players face to face with a lot of the other contestants from the Tournament Of The Throne in their final desperate attempt to kill you and rise in the rankings. While many of these fights are optional, the one against Jin will only be found if you begin the quest Petty Thief.
This quest is tied to Neuras' bond and will begin after reaching Rank 7 with him. You'll first need to track down who stole the relics before getting them back; here's how to do it.
How to Complete Every Bounty in Metaphor ReFantazio
Bounties are difficult monster hunts in Metaphor: ReFantazio that reward players greatly; here's how to complete every one.
Starting Petty Thief In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once you've begun the quest Petty Thief, you'll need to head to the Recruitment Centre of Grand Trad. To the right side of the steps leading into the building will be a guard with three dots over his head. Talk to him to get Jin's name as the culprit and get his location marked on the map. While it says he is on his way to the Mines which normally takes a day for the play, Jin will be there until the head of the game, so there is no rush in chasing him down.
Return to the Gauntlet Runner on a free day and travel to Jin's location. This will take a day of traveling, and the fight will trigger immediately after your free time on the Gauntlet Runner.
Metaphor: ReFantazio - Where To Get The Archetypal Ring
The Archetypal Ring increases XP earned by an Archetype when equipped in Metaphor: ReFantazio; here's how to get it.
How To Beat Jin In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Jin is level 65 and his guards are level 64.
Like all contestant fights, you'll only need to bear Jin in order to win the battle, though he has no weaknesses to take advantage of. That being said, the soldiers he has with him do have weaknesses that can be taken advantage of, and with attack-all spells, you can also damage Jin more than just purely focusing on him.
- Mercenary Pikeman - Weakness: Fire
- Mercenary Mage - Weakness: Electric
Some recommended party members for this fight are Junah with her Royal Archetype and Eupha with hers. Have your best damage-dealing Archetype on the Protagonist and another strength-focused character such as Basilio. The Royal Masked Dancer can use Ruin's Flameflower while the Royal Summoner uses Summon Dragon God, as both will hit a weakness and deal a lot of damage to all enemies.
Have the Protagonist and Basilio focus on damaging Jin, using any defence-lowering attacks from Brawler Archetypes if you have any. The Royal Masked Dancer can also use Hellfire Dance on Jin to make him weak to fire for a single attack, greatly increasing the damage from Summon Dragon God to help focus him down over the Pikeman.
Jin himself won't do much damage, but he can cast a party-wide healing spell towards the end of the battle and will also use items to try and charm your party members. Through Skill Inheritance, bring over Patra or Ren Patra onto an active party member for this fight and that'll take his best and most-used move off the table. Defeating Jin will trigger Neuras' last bond level and complete the side quest.
