How To Increase Eloquence In Metaphor: ReFantazio

Speeches & Debates

The main way to raise your Eloquence is by giving speeches or participating in debates. The Eloquence icon is a person with their hand out, and that icon on the map usually indicates the location of the town's stage. After the tournament has begun, the player can get up on stage anytime and speak, giving points in Eloquence. The stage is also usually found right next to or near the rock heads for the tournament, letting you collect MAG while on your way to raise your Eloquence.

If another candidate is already on stage, you can join in and debate them. You'll only have one chance to win the crowd over and only one of the three options will do so. Just for participating, you'll get points in Eloquence and one in Imagination, though if you win the debate you'll get an extra point in Eloquence, some Reeve for support, and an increase in popularity. Beating every candidate in a debate will also give you a trophy.

In Grand Trad, there is an Activist Woman found in Sunshade Row who can be spent time with to raise your Eloquence which is the only way to do so in that town before the tournament begins.

Reading A Book & Junah

One of the first books on the Gauntlet Runner, when you start your journey, is Pride and Persuasion. This book can be read three times and will give three points each time. If you say the right dialogue option to Gallica, each rank can reward an additional point. Finishing the book will also give four additional points.

After Junah joins the party after the events in Brilehaven, she will often be available while you are traveling to a new location on the Gauntlet Runner. Spending time with Junah during the day or night will reward you with Eloquence.
